With Cato in an unknown location, Marblyn focuses all of her attention on the Rebellion, including the task at hand - competing in the Quarter Quell. With the bombshell of the 75th Hunger Games - or the third Quarter Quell - she has to decide whether to go along with Snow trying to force her into the Hunger Games, or risk her entire family being killed.
The Rebellion is boiling over more at the news, the Victors trying to remain United, but President Snow knows exactly what he's doing putting them all against each other. In a desperate effort, he wants to eradicate the entire species of Hunger Games Victors. But, with an unhinged Marblyn desperate to figure out the location of the man he loves, and desperate to stop being controlled by the Capitol, Snow has no idea how bad his plan is going to backfire. Fire is catching, and Marblyn Blue Rivers has no issue with being burned.
