"Bye, babe! Make sure Hinata gets home safe. I love you!" Sakura yelled before disappearing into her house.

Sasuke took the seat next to Hinata in the driver's seat, "Ready?" Hinata nodded, looking down at her thighs which were barely covered by the jacket she was wearing. Sasuke surprised her by asking, "Did you have fun?"

Hinata was taken aback that he was trying to start up a conversation. "Uh, yeah, I've never been to a party before," she replied, looking down again.

"Hn. I noticed," Sasuke said. Hinata giggled, causing Sasuke to side-eye her.

"I-I was that bad, uh?" she stuttered out.

Sasuke shook his head. "Just tense."

Hinata covered her face in embarrassment. "Oh god! I must have looked really awkward."

"Nah, not enough alcohol," Sasuke said dryly.

Hinata peeked through her fingers at him. "I thought I drank a lot. I do feel funny. Do you party a lot, Uchiha-san?" she asked.

He turned to look at her for a second. "Only if Sakura goes."

"Y-yeah, Sakura sure loves to party," Hinata said.

"She loves attention."

Hinata nodded. "But I'm sure that's why you love her."

"Hn."

Hinata started fidgeting with the hem of the jacket that she was wearing. She then looked at the bag that had her clothes in it. "U-Um, thank you again, Uchiha-san, for letting me borrow your jacket," she said.

"Hn."

After that, there was silence, but it was a comfortable silence. It wasn't as awkward as before. Once they arrived, they got out of the car and walked to the elevator. Sasuke held Hinata's bag of clothes even though she insisted on carrying it herself.

The elevator ride was quiet, with Sasuke leaning against the wall while Hinata stood beside him. She felt a mix of nerves and excitement, unsure of what to expect next. As the elevator dinged, Sasuke gestured for her to step out first. They made their way to Hinata's apartment door, and she fumbled through her purse for her keys.

"Thanks again for tonight," Hinata said, turning to face Sasuke. "I had a good time, even though I was tense."

Sasuke shrugged, looking away. "It was fine."

Hinata frowned slightly, wondering if she had said something wrong. She then remembered the way he had looked at her in the car and decided to take a chance. "Can I ask you something, Uchiha-san?" she said tentatively.

He raised an eyebrow. "Hn?"

"Do you dislike me?"

Sasuke's expression remained blank, but Hinata could sense that he was tense. "I just don't like people who are too timid and weak." he said finally.

Hinata felt her heart sink at his words, feeling a pang of hurt. She had always struggled with her shyness and insecurity, and Sasuke's words only reinforced her negative self-image. "Well, I may be timid, but that doesn't mean I'm weak," she said firmly.

Sasuke looked at her, seeming surprised by her sudden confidence. "Prove it then," he said.

Hinata raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"Show me. Do something bold, take a risk."

Hinata acted impulsively and without hesitation as she leaned in and placed a kiss on Sasuke's cheek, surprising both him and herself. It could have been the alcohol in her system that gave her the courage. Her heart racing with excitement, she quickly turned to unlock her apartment door and stepped inside.
