Hinata arrived at school early to avoid Sasuke offering her a ride. She strolled through the deserted hallways and reached her locker, gathering her things for the day. Suddenly, she felt a tap on her shoulder.
"Hey, Hinata!" Sakura greeted her with a smile.
"Good morning! Why are you here so early?" Hinata asked.
Sakura grabbed her arm and shut her locker for her. "I wanted to snag the good seats since the last time we had to sit next to that idiot," she said with a hint of annoyance in her voice.
Hinata couldn't help but giggle. "Aren't you and Naruto close friends?"
"Yeah, but he keeps flirting with me. It's getting old," Sakura replied while twirling a strand of her hair. "I just wish he'd take the hint that I'm not interested." Hinata didn't know what to say, so she just shrugged.
As they walked into the classroom, they saw that most of the seats were still unoccupied. "Hinata, you can sit over there. I'll sit next to you, and Sasuke can sit next to me," Sakura said, pointing to the seats.
"But doesn't Sasuke prefer that seat?" Hinata asked hesitantly.
"Hmm, I suppose so," Sakura mused before sliding over a seat. "Then Sasuke can sit between us!" she declared with a grin.
"Oh, Sasuke, there you are," Sakura exclaimed as she ran up to him, wrapping her arms around him and giving him a peck on the lips.
"Hn," he responded, taking his seat between Hinata and Sakura. He glanced at Hinata and said, "Hyuga."
"U-Uchiha-san," Hinata replied, blushing slightly as she turned back to face the front of the classroom. Meanwhile, Sakura continued to talk to Sasuke, but he answered her with indifference. Eventually, the teacher arrived, signaling the start of class.
"Good morning, class!" The teacher greeted with a cheerful tone. "I hope you've read the board because you'll now be working in these groups for the remainder of the year! I hope you like your partners." He distributed pieces of paper to each student.
As Sakura received her paper, she couldn't help but pout when she realized she wasn't paired with Sasuke. "You're so lucky, Hinata. You got my babe," Sakura whined, sounding disappointed. Hinata giggled softly in response.
"I don't mind switching."
The teacher's ears perked up as he overheard Sakura's comment and Hinata's response. He swiftly interjected, his voice firm and commanding, as he reached the front of the classroom.
"No switching is allowed," he stated unequivocally, making his expectations clear. "These are your partners, and you will stick with them. Now, go out and practice these scripts. I want you back here before class ends!"
The students nodded in understanding, and the room buzzed with activity as they paired off and scattered throughout the classroom and corridors to practice their scripts. The teacher watched attentively, pleased to see the students taking the task seriously and working together in their assigned pairs.
As Hinata and Sasuke ascended the stairs to the roof, Hinata nervously held the script in her hands, trying to read through it. "S-So we have a scene from the show Wednesday," she stuttered, feeling a bit flustered.
Sasuke simply replied with a nonchalant "Hn" as he pushed open the door to the roof, and they stepped out into the open air. The wind rustled their hair as they found a spot to rehearse. (This scene belongs to the creators of Wednesday)
Hinata walked out of the door and then quickly walked back in, taking a deep breath to prepare for the scene. Sasuke, pretending to sweep, said, "We're closed."
