Sai and Hinata had been putting on quite the show, acting as if they had known each other for a long time. They were getting closer, and Sasuke couldn't help but feel irritated by it. Sai's hugs from behind and kisses on Hinata's cheek were meant to make their act more convincing, but Sasuke's gut was telling him something else. He didn't like how close Sai was getting to Hinata, and it bothered him.
Sasuke found himself feeling increasingly protective of Hinata, a feeling he hadn't experienced before. He didn't trust Sai, and the thought of Hinata getting too close to him made him uncomfortable. He kept his eyes on them whenever they were together, his jaw clenched in frustration.
Meanwhile, Sakura, who had recently gone through a breakup with Sasuke, found solace in seeing Hinata and Sai together. It distracted her from her own heartache and she took comfort in the fact that Hinata had found someone who seemed to genuinely care for her. Sakura admired how Hinata was handling the situation with grace, and it brought her some measure of peace to see her friend happy.
Sakura's gaze shifted between Sai and Hinata as she asked, "Hinata, can I come over later?" Sakura's inviting tone included Sai as well, saying, "Sai, you can join us too if you would like." Sai nodded in agreement, though he was unsure of Hinata's location. Hinata, noticing his uncertainty, reached out and gently grasped his hand, her smile warm and reassuring.
"We will come over too!" Naruto chimed in, wrapping his arm around Sasuke and pulling him close. "It'll be like a little party." Hinata nodded in agreement, her smile warm.

Naruto's eyes darted around Hinata's living room in excitement as he spoke, "Damn Hinata! I didn't know you and Sasuke lived in the same apartment building." He couldn't contain his enthusiasm as he took in the lively atmosphere and spotted Hinata's cat. Hinata giggled at his reaction, appreciating his excitement.
Meanwhile, Sasuke and Sai were sitting on the couch, with Mochi, Hinata's cat, entering the scene. Mochi sniffed the air and then proceeded to Sasuke, causing a moment of confusion between the two men. Mochi settled on Sasuke's lap, and Naruto couldn't contain his amusement as he suggested, "Sasuke! You could definitely have little cat play dates when you get your kitty." Naruto plopped down on the ground next to the couch, grinning at the thought.
Sakura and Hinata both looked surprised when Naruto mentioned Sasuke getting a cat. They spoke in unison, "I didn't know you were getting a cat."
Sasuke, true to his reserved nature, simply responded with a nonchalant "Hn."
Sakura couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment as she looked at Sasuke, who seemed indifferent to her presence. She had expected him to share with her his desire to have a cat when they were dating, but he had kept it a secret. She was hurt, and being in such close proximity to him now only made it worse. However, she didn't want to let her emotions get the best of her. She wanted to focus on getting to know Hinata and Sai's relationship better.
"So Sai, Hinata...how long have you guys known each other before, you know," Sakura said with a mischievous wink, trying to steer the conversation in a lighter direction.
Hinata blushed and stammered, "S-Sakura, we're not going to share that information." She was embarrassed that her friend would ask such a personal question, and Sasuke's expression remained unreadable.
"Aw, come on, Hinata," Sakura persisted, ignoring the tension in the air. "I just want to know how long you guys have been seeing each other."
Sai and Hinata exchanged uncertain glances, unsure of how much to reveal. "We've known each other for about a month and started...doing stuff maybe a week after," Sai answered cautiously, hoping he hadn't given away too much.
