Tipid na ngumiti si Candace. "I miss you too."
Ipinikit ni Dale ang kaniyang mata nang marinig ang mga katagang 'yon mula kay Candace. Isinubsob niya ang mukha sa leeg nito saka nilanghap ang amoy nito. "I love you, Muffin. I love you."
Hinaplos ni Candace ang buhok ni Dale. "I love you too. Let's complete the mating bond."
Mabilis na napamulat ng mata si Dale at napatingin kay Candace. "Candace?"

"Are you sure?" Naninigurong tanong ni Dale.
Tumango si Candace. "I'm sure."

Ngumisi si Candace. She showed her two fingers. "I have two married friends. Analie and Bryan."

"Ano 'yon?" tanong naman ni Candace habang nakalupaypay sa sofa.
"Alam mo ba kung ano ang pinakakatakutan ng isang katulad ko?"
Umiling si Candace.
Analie sighed. "Rejection. Hindi nagpakita sa 'yo si Alpha Dale ng ilang araw..."
Itinaas ni Candace ang kamay. "Correction. Two weeks. Hindi lang ilang araw."
Analie rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Basta makinig ka na lang." Sabi niya sa kaibigan.
