BEFORE Candace went to Dale, dinaanan niya muna si Bryan upang kamustahin ang lagay nito.
"This is Bryan's house." Sabi ni Analie nang itinigil nito ang kotse sa tapat ng isang bahay. "Originally, Bryan was living at the pack house but he decided to move out after he got married."
Napatango si Candace saka napabuntong hininga.
"What's the matter?" Tanong ni Analie.
"I felt guilty, Analie."
Ngimiti si Analie. "Don't be. Just go inside. I'll already informed Queenie."
"Ah?"
Analie chuckled. "It's the pack link. It's okay. Si Alpha Dale na lang ang magsasabi sa 'yo ng lahat kapag nagka-usap kayong dalawa."
Bumaba si Candace ng kotse at pumasok sa loob ng compound ng bahay nila Bryan. Pero napalingon siya kay Analie nang tawagin nito ang pangalan niya.
"By the way, Bryan was already graduated. He entered the University to protect you." Analie smiled. "I'll wait for you here."
Candace was about to speak but she heard the door opened.
"Luna." Queenie bowed. "Come on in. Bryan is in the living room."
Candace wanted to smile but she couldn't. She really felt guilty on what happened to Bryan.
"It's okay, Luna. I don't blame you or anyone." Ngumiti si Queenie at pinapasok si Luna Candace.
Walang imik na pumasok si Candace sa loob ng bahay ni Bryan at Queenie. She immediately saw Bryan sitting in the living room. Nakikita niyang maayos na ang kalagayan nito pero halata naman na may iniinda pa rin ito.
"Bryan."
Bryan looked at her. "Luna." Tatayo na sana siya para magbigay ng respesto kay Luna Candace pero pinigilan siya nito.
"It's okay, just sit."
"I'll prepare refreshment, Luna." Sabi ni Queenie at nagtungo ng kusina pero alam ni Candace na ginawa 'yon ni Queenie para bigyan sila ng pagkakataong makapag-usap ng maayos ni Bryan.
"How are you?" Candace asked.
Ngumiti si Bryan. "As you can see, alive and kicking."
Candace sighed. "I'm sorry. Dahil sa akin kaya ganito ang nangyari sa 'yon. You nearly died because of me."
"Luna, don't apologized. Wala kang kasalanan. As the Gamma, it's my duty to protect you even it will cost my life. It's an honor for me and my wolf to be your guardian." Ngumiti si Bryan. "So, please, don't blame yourself, Luna. I, Kian, Alpha Dale, Analie and everyone in the pack are willing to protect you. They are all willing to give up their life just to protect you."
"Am I that important?" Candace asked. Sa pananalita kasi ni Bryan para siyang isang ginto na napakaimportante sa mga ito.
"You are, Luna. You are the mother of Midnight Pack. We are all respecting you. And we also yearn for your acceptance."
Kumunot ang nuo ni Candace. "Acceptance?"
Tumango si Bryan. "Luna, you are not aware that a creature like us exist. You're human and we yearn for your acceptance. Umaasa kami na matatanggap mo kami kahit hindi tayo magkakauri."
"Pero hindi ba dapat ako ang humiling na sana matanggap niyo ako dahil hindi ako katulad niyo. I'm not strong as you guys." Candace said.
Ngumiti si Bryan. "Luna, as long as the Alpha accepted you, we and our wolf also accepted you to be our Luna. Nothing can change that."
