Once upon a time, there was a school unlike any other. In this school, the boys were taught to be subservient and emotional while the girls were trained to be aggressive and dominant. It was a bizarre system but it worked like a charm. Nobody questioned the status quo.
The boys were taught that crying was okay, showing their emotions was a sign of strength and serving the girls was a sign of respect. They were pushed to support the girls in every aspect of their lives, be it in the classroom or outside of school. They cooked, cleaned and did most of the household chores while the girls focused on their education and excelled in sports and other extracurricular activities.
At the same time, the girls were conditioned to be confident and assertive. They were taught never to back down and always stay ahead of the pack. It was like a reverse patriarchy where the girls had all the power and the boys were the second-class citizens. The girls pushed the boys around, made them feel small and insignificant but they never complained, in fact, they enjoyed it.
The boys felt fulfilled knowing that they were useful, they belonged somewhere - even if it was at the bottom of the totem pole. The girls, on the other hand, understood the system and exploited it to their advantage.
It was not a perfect system but it worked. The students performed well academically, the girls dominated in sports and the boys learned important life skills such as cooperation, empathy, and emotional intelligence.
But things were not all rosy. There were instances of girls abusing their power, bullying the boys and making them do things they did not want to. But no one really cared because that was just how things were.
No one ever raised their voice against this system, no one questioned why it was so essential for girls to be dominant and boys to be submissive. Nobody wanted things to change, not the girls because they enjoyed the power and not the boys because they were comfortable with the set-up.
In the end, it was a reminder of how easy it is for people to accept what is handed over to them without questioning it. The school continued to operate the same way for years, with generations of children passing through the halls and experiencing the same conditioning. The strange school continued on, but no one paused to wonder if it was really for the best.
