Toby was a small, timid boy. He had been born into a family of addicts and it was only through their generosity that he had been afforded any sort of life. But that lifestyle was no longer an option. With no money and no where to turn, Toby's parents sold him as a servant to a wealthy family.
While the family was strict and would not abide any disrespect, they had a soft spot for the young boy. Toby embraced the role and soon found a sense of solace in the clean, orderly lifestyle that was demanded of him.
At first, Toby was miserable. He missed his family dearly and wanted nothing more than to be back home with them. But as his servitude stretched on, something began to change. He soon found pleasure in the tasks he was assigned and came to cherish the strictness of his master.
He served the family diligently and before long, their son, an aggressive and formidable man, had fallen for him. Toby was delighted by this union and the old family welcomed him with open arms.
Toby served the family with an unwavering faithfulness, and soon enough, the man took him in as a husband. While they were strict and expected total obedience, they welcomed Toby with love and support. Toby slowly but surely became a part of the family and today, lives happily ever after with the man of his dreams.
