"I don't want to become the kind of Adwait who would rip every single skin cell off any man who dares to have even the faintest touch upon your skin," He placed a soft, lingering kiss on her earlobe.
Nitya's heart raced in response to his words. Sh...

"Design a building for a specific purpose, such as a library or a museum. The design should include a detailed floor plan, elevations, and section drawings." The professor shut her book with a resounding clap.
"See you in the next class," she made her way out of the room, bidding us adieu.
I grabbed my backpack and sauntered out of the room.
My thoughts drifted back to the previous night's events once again, replaying the memory of Arushi and I scouring the flower shop for the perfect flowers. I won't deny that the task did wonders in distracting my mind.
Lost in my own thoughts, I failed to notice the figure standing in my way until I collided into them. Thankfully, a firm grip on my forearm prevented me from tumbling to the ground.
I gazed up to see Adwait, his face mere inches from mine.
Memories of last night flooded my mind causing my cheeks to flush with embarrassment. I quickly pulled my arm away from his grasp.
I dared not look his way, too afraid of his potential reaction. Is he here to confront me about my behavior last night? I mentally berated myself for my lack of control over my emotions.
I wish I could turn back time and handle things differently.
"Are you alright?" he inquired, his tone surprisingly gentle.
My neck snapped in his direction, startled by his sudden change in attitude. Since when had he become so soft-spoken with me?
"Huh?" I asked once more just to make sure I heard him correctly.
"There's a lizard by your leg," he pointed out with his eyes fixed on the spot.
I let out a scream and quickly shifted towards him, following his gaze to the spot where the lizard was supposed to be. To my surprise, there was nothing there.
I frowned only to catch a glimmer of amusement in his eyes. Was he playing a prank on me? I huffed in annoyance. That wasn't funny.
"Why did you do that?" I demanded.
"I see, your ears are working perfectly fine. So why didn't you respond when I asked if you were okay?" his eyes were still glimmering with amusement.
I was left utterly bewildered and astonished because he didn't seem like the type to engage in playful banter with others.
"I'm fine. Thanks," I muttered, fixing my gaze on the ground as if it held the secrets of the universe.
"Why aren't you looking at me?" He took a step closer towards me.
"I am," I replied, instinctively stepping back as his closeness caught me off guard. Our eyes met for a brief moment before I quickly looked away again.
"I didn't know my eyes were everywhere in the air," his voice was teasing. I couldn't help but wonder what was up with him today.
Finally, I gazed up at him, only to find his eyes fixed on me with a mix of concern, curiosity and a look I couldn't quite pinpoint.
