I straightened up as soon as the lecture bell rang. My nerves were on edge, and I kept my eyes glued to the door, hoping she'd walk out. I was scared and really, really desperate to see her.

For a whole month, I felt like I was on the edge of giving up, but I couldn't let go because I was holding onto this flickering hope that came from her. My Nitya.

I was too scared to face her after that day, but my guilt drove me to apologize. I did, and she asked for some space, which I gave her. It was the least I could do after being so rash with her.

There she was, and I let out a sigh of relief that turned into a smile. Our eyes met for a split second, but then she quickly looked away.

A bit disheartened, I followed her, keeping a low profile to avoid drawing attention from other students. She slipped into the empty activity room, and I took the chance to quietly close the door behind us.

"Nitya, please. I regret everything I've done. Please, just listen to me now. Talk to me. It's tearing me apart. A month has felt like an eternity. I beg you," I pleaded tears welling up my eyes.

She was clearly hurting, with red, puffy eyes and a fragile look. I could sense her longing to reach out and hold me he given her eyes were on my arms.

Yet, I understood what held her back—the fear of me, the apprehension that I might plunge back into that darker side of myself once again.

I reached out with trembling arms, wide open, hoping she'd embrace me. My hands shook, afraid that if she didn't hold me, a part of me would fall apart.

With teary eyes, she took hesitant steps backward and turned away, causing me to close my eyes in dejection and despair.

I sighed, wiping away a tear that slipped out. I deserved it. Just as I was about to turn away, she suddenly rushed into my arms, making me stumble.

She wrapped me in a tight hug, her face buried in my chest. Her tears let go of the weight she'd been carrying.

I held her tightly, not willing to let go for even a second. "Have you found it in your heart to forgive me? Please, say yes. I can't handle this any longer." Gently pulling away but still holding her close, I added, "If I need to kneel to make things right, I will. Just don't leave me, Nitya. I'm ready to face any punishment. Please." My desperation was overwhelming, and I nearly dropped to my knees.

She stepped back abruptly, pulling me up and gripping my collar, her eyes reflecting a mix of tears and anger. "I dare you to repeat this again. You are my pride, and kneeling before me is an insult to that pride. Embed this in your head, Adwait Scindia. We stand as equals in this. There's no room for submission or superiority between us."

Before I could say anything, she pressed her lips against mine to show her anger.

A smile tugged at my lips. Even with her anger, my woman didn't quite master the art of an angry kiss. I cupped her face gently and kissed her back slowly, letting my love show through.
