"Soul!" I yelled from my room, i laid in my bed knowing I fell asleep in the kitchen, with soul.

"Maka, calm down." I heard a voice say suddenly from beside me, I squealed in fright not knowing he was there. I almost fell off the bed when soul pulled me really close to him.

"What do you think you're doing, mister?" I said trying to loosen his grip.

"You told me to protect you last night after you drifted off. Don't worry I cleaned up everything and sanitized it twice just like you tell me to." He nuzzled his head into to crook of my neck. I turned in his grip, remembering the conversation now, and placed both my hands resting on his chest.

"And you promised to never leave my side no matter what." I looked up into his eyes, they were back to his normal color, glistening in the shaky glow of the room.

"Soul I.." I stammered but couldn't finish my sentence, I felt my cheeks grow warm and my eyes started to fill with threatening tears. I couldn't look at him so I buried my face into his neck, his bare neck. I hadn't noticed before that he was shirtless and I was in his shirt, my eyes were wet against his soft skin. My fingers grazed the scar on his arm, the one i couldn't look at.

"Maka, I'm sorry." He said rubbing his head against mine, I looked up at him. He began to pull away to get up, I quickly wrapped my arms around him.

"Please stay, Soul, you have nothing to be sorry about." I said pulling him back in. His hands began to run through my hair, and I drifted to asleep. After what seemed like five minutes, I felt something shake me.

"Hey Maka, time to get ready, Kid's party is in a few hours." I heard him whisper, I giggled a little bit.

"What?" He asked sitting up.

"You tickled me when you whispered." I laughed a little bit.

"Oh you mean like this?" He asked as soon as he said that I dogged his hands as he went to tickle me, he fell off the bed and I pinned him down.

"You're fast for an injured person." He laughed, our foreheads touched.

"You told me I had to be faster." I winked.

"But not fast enough." He said smirking.

"Huh?" I was confused suddenly he picked me up and flipped me over so he'd be on top of me.

"Soul, get off of me!" I yelled squirming in his grip.

"Come on, lets get ready, I want to be too late." He moved off of me and sat at the edge of my bed, I sat up with him.

"What are you wearing soul?" I asked.

"You'll have to see, what about you?" He asked.

"You'll have to see," I smiled, "now get out I want to get ready." I pushed him off the bed.
