What's Next?

"Hey Maka we got mail today!" Is what I woke up to.

"Why are you happy? It's just mail Soul." I said turning over to face the wall.

"Because, it's from the academy!" He said sitting down on the bed, I flipped over to face him.

"What's in it? Do you think they finally sold the apartment after a month and a half?" I said excitedly taking the thick envelope from him. I opened it finding 2 clips of money split equally and a letter explaining the total cost of the apartment and the cost of all the items in it that we're sold. Then there was another smaller envelope sitting in the back of it with a red seal, I took it out and examined the fine writing unable to decode it. Suddenly it came clear, the fancy handwriting was the name 'Soul Evans' so I handed the envelope to soul who looked confusingly at it then me then it again.

"It's for you, ya know." I laughed. He looked at it then back up at me then back down at it again.

"Who is it from?" He asked.

"I don't know how bout you open it to find out." I laughed, he smile and winked before he opened it. I watched him as he read, his eyes crossed the page at the perfect speed then suddenly he stopped. His breath was cut short and his eyes widened.

"What is it?" I asked not taking my eyes off of him. He slowly resumed reading but stopped again and folding the paper back up. He got up and walked to the trash, ripping the paper to shreds before throwing it away.

"Soul what was that?" I asked getting out of the bed with Soul's long blue shirt.

"Kira is coming. In the letter it said that her plane would leave July 18th and that she be in London on the 19th, what is today's date?" He asked frantically, I grabbed his hand to calm him down.

"It's the 20th." I said suddenly a knock sounded from the door, Soul walled over and opened it to see Kira standing with a backpack in her hand.

"Soul." She said smiling, "I'm sorry it was so soon but I had to see you." Soul glanced at me but I stayed perfectly still. Kira glanced at us and it took a moment to realize the lack of clothes that both Soul and I had possessed. My black underwear and bra could be seen easily through Soul's light blue button up, and he just didn't have a shirt on and his jeans were kind of low rise. I remained silent and kept my gaze to Soul.

"I told you to stay home, where it was safe." He said sweetly.

"I couldn't, it was too long. Soul I tried to forget you, but I can't I'm so in love with you I can't forget you." That was enough I turned around and slipped on my shorts and grabbed my wallet and phone and walked out carrying my converse which I put on at the bottom of the steps.

It was only 5 o'clock but it was starting to cool down from the 80 degree weather London has been having. I stopped by the coffee shop and ordered tea then bought a book called 'Servants Of The Map' by Andrea Barrett and sat in the park and started to read when the sun set I decided to go home. Walking up to the door I heard no noise inside so I slowly opened the door seeing only the bathroom light on, shining through the door, and a head of white hair on the couch. I put the book down and undressed leaving only the underwear and Soul's shirt then walked into the bathroom where Soul was in the bathtub.

"Never thought of ever see you in one of those." I said sitting on the edge.

"Come in there's enough room for two." He said, I shook my head then room my hair down from the messy bun it was in.

"You're going to bed mister, we have to dojo tomorrow so you need your rest." I pulled the plug on the drain making the water run out then threw him a towel and walked back out to the bed. I laid comfortably under the covers for 10 minutes before the bathroom light turned off and Soul came and cuddled.

"4 months, we've gotten far from where we started." I nestle my head next to his.

"Yes we have." I kissed his cheek.

"I'm going to take you out to dinner tomorrow." Soul said with an obvious smile.

"Why?" I asked.

"You didn't read the entire letter did you? The apartment sold for $5,500 and all the stuff inside sold for $3,000. And then they split it so both of us now have $4,750 more than we had yesterday." He said happily.

"Oh my gosh that's amazing, that's so much I don't know what to do with it." I laughed kissing him.

"Well I do." He smiled kissing me.

"What are you going to do?" I asked curiously.

"It's a secret so you can't know." He laughed tickling my stomach.

"Why do you do that to me it's just going to make me want to know more!" I laughed.

"Good." He kissed me and snuggled into my neck.
