I lied, dinner time passed me as I walked around Death City slowly. I stopped at Soul's aunt's inn and she offered me some dinner.

"Thanks Ms Evans for that meal." I said wiping my mouth and getting out a $20 bill and handing it too her.

"Any time sweetie, it's weird that Soul isn't with you, he never leaves your side." She said sweetly taking the tray and nodding to follow her to the kitchen.

"He's back home with... A friend." I hesitated, but she nodded anyway.

"That's good that he's found more friends," she stopped then looked at me, "Do you need me to drive you home?"

"No thanks Ms Evans, I'll walk." I said, she nodded.

"Then you should get going now, you're going to get lost in the dark." She said handing me a flashlight just in case. I nodded and put on my coat and started to walk out.

"Maka?" I heard her call behind me, I turned.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Is Soul okay?" I knew what she was talking about, I shrugged my shoulders.

"I don't know, he doesn't say anything to me." I said sadly.

"Talk to him." I nodded and walked home thinking about what I'd say to him. I turned the nob on the door slowly and as quietly as I could since I didn't hear anything from the inside which kind of scared me. I walked in to see a dim light from Soul's room.

"Are they sleeping? It's only 9:30 and Soul doesn't usually go to bed until 12 or so." I wondered quietly walking up the stairs but stopped suddenly as Kira's voice echoed off the walls.

"So I told you my story, what's yours?" I wonder what they're talking about.

"Are you sure you're going to be able to stay up long enough to hear it?" Soul asked. I heard her laugh a bit.

"I want to learn about your scars, I'm not going to fall asleep until you finish, I promise." She said with a croak in her voice.

"Okay." soul laughed and cleared his voice with a cough.

"It started years ago, before I came to the DWMA, exactly a month before I came. I can't remember much of the years before then, or even the days but I woke up in the hospital with no memory. My Aunt was sitting beside the hospital bed crying. She told me that I survived the crash. I didn't know anything, I barely knew who she was. It wasn't till I got released a few days after where I received memories from the day and the crash. It hit me so hard my emotions were completely off. I threw up blood and grabbed a razor. You can guess where I went from there. The one thing that triggered me most was that my father was bringing me away from the city cause of the scythe I could turn into, I pulled the wheel trying to end my life." His voice was shakey I leaned against the wall.

"Go to bed, Kira, you're tired." He said.

"I'm sorry for asking, I can feel you soul's uneasines." My breath stopped.

"She can feel his soul!?!?" My head screamed.

"It's nothing, I needed to get it off my chest anyway." He said.

"Why isn't he talking to me about it I told him to talk to me if he needs me!" My thoughts were angry but I couldn't say anything, he didn't know I was home.

"Do you want me to shut the door, Kira?" I heard him walk to the door. I pressed against the wall in the dark hallway so he wouldn't see me. He stepped out and looked at me, maybe he knew I was home, his head fell.

"She has her own bed." I whispered. He nodded.

"I know." He whispered and closed the door.

"Goodnight Kira." I heard him, muffled through the door. But no response, she must've fell asleep already. I slumped against the wall sliding down.

"Why is this having such a big impact on me?" My mind was finally calm.
