My Birthday

"Good morning my sweets." Soul said kissing my head.

"Morning Soul." I said smiling up at him, we were facing each other so it was decently hard to see his face with mine buried in the crook of his neck. His slight six pack felt soft against my stomach and his perfectly muscular arms fit perfectly against my bare back. Wait... My bare back?! I pushed myself away from him and grabbed the sheet, pulling it completely around me. He stared at me confused, appearing half-naked since the blanket fell over his hips and below.

"Did we... Do it last night?" I said staring questionably at him. He blushed almost as bad as I did and laughed.

"Yes we did." I felt a relief that it was with him. I laid back down next to him, nuzzling back into the crook of his neck.

"Happy birthday Maka." He said. It was my 18th birthday, I totally forgot.

"You remembered?" I asked. He laughed and kissed me sweetly.

"I couldn't forget." He laughed.

"What's on the agenda today?" I asked sitting up.

"Nothing because we're going to stay in bed the entire day." Soul said pulling me down into his open arms.

"But I want to do something." I wined rolling over to face the wall. Suddenly the sheets disappeared between us and I felt his warm body wrap around mine, there was still a blanket over us so we weren't't cold. His legs tangled into mine and his arms trapped me next to him.

"Let's talk then, that's doing something." I said grabbing his forearm which wrapped around my shoulders.

"I don't want to go back to the academy." He said.

"Why not? It's a safe place for us." I said.

"Exactly, I don't want the safety that the DWMA provides for its weapons and meisters." Soul's chin rested in the crook of my neck and his head leaned on mine.

"You don't want to be safe?" I asked confused, he chuckled slightly.

"That's not what I mean, its hard to explain really. But I want to live here, in London, maybe even the countryside since it's secluded and more private." He said, I could feel him smiling.

"I don't want to go back either." I said smiling. I never thought I would want to leave but I did, really badly too.

"But you love it there." Soul said.

"But I want to explore," I began turning around to face him, "I don't want to live in one place my entire life."

"I know, your wild and curious it's natural for you and that's what I fell for in the first place." He kissed me long and hard. It was the first time I realized how much him and I were so much in love. Although we officially started dating a few days ago, its like we've been dating for years now. We pulled apart slowly.

"Do you still want to work for the DWMA?" I asked.

"I'll have to think about it during this mission. To be honest I wouldn't know what I'd do with my life if I wasn't." He said, I nodded.
