"Boyfriend points?" I rose my brows at Cassie.
She had a bright smile on her face and nodded firmly. "Boyfriend points."
I shut my books and sighed. I thought Cassie had called us all to her house to study but clearly that wasn't the case.
"What the hell is that?" Cody asked as he shoved a whole hand of popcorn into his mouth.
"Neanderthal, get your feet off my mother's Malaysian coffee table." Cassie snapped at him.
Cody slowly did so, no doubt the speed was to piss off Cassie.
"You're not even supposed to be here. This is a cheerleaders meeting." Cassie told him.
"But Maya is here!" He pointed an accusatory finger at me from where I was seated beside Tiffany.
"Maya is an honorary Lioness because she's my best friend. And she has a vagina so she's allowed to be here. Do you have a vagina, Cody?"
Cody glared at Cassie.
"Cass, you don't have to be so rude." Georgia spoke in a small voice from where she sat beside Cody.
"Nah, it's okay." Cody spoke.
He probably just didn't want to be embarrassed in front of girls because the Cody I had grown up with was a hot head who didn't take words from anyone.
"Relax, Cass, I just came to see my girlfriend." He spoke as he placed a kiss on Georgia's cheek - making her giggle - before getting up.
"But since you're kicking me out..." Cody drawed out giving Cassie the puppy dog look.
But Cassie just gave him a fake smile.
"Bye." She wiggled her fingers at him.
Cody's face dropped.
Tiffany and I widened our eyes at each other before turning our attention back to the snacks that were laid out in front of us.
The other cheerleaders probably also sensed how tense the situation was. It was always tense between Cassie and Cody.
"See you later, babe." Cody muttered before walking away.
"Cass." Georgia whined when we heard the door close. "Did you have to?"
"Yes. And honestly, Georgia, you can do better." She told her.
I saw Georgia's eyes get big and glossy.
Georgia' had always been very emotional and everyone knew that. Especially Cassie who had just moved here about a year ago and had made Georgia cry twice already. Not intentionally ofcourse. She had felt really bad about both instances.
But the thing was, Cassie was the type of direct person who always spoke her mind. And Georgia just wasn'the the type of person who was used to taking things so directly.
"I'm going to go use the bathroom." Georgia spoke in a small voice.
We all just let her rush out the room. We knew it was best to just let Georgia sort through her emotions by herself sometimes. Hounding her and asking if she was okay repeatedly usually made the situation worse.
"Way harsh, Cass." Tiffany spoke as she picked up another fancy mini sandwich.
Cassie refused us to call their cook a 'chef'. According to her, he was a 'nutrition specialist' and her parents only hired him because her father was diabetic.
