Ellie and Charlotte had planned to meet up for lunch at a cozy café in Monaco after Ellie arrived. It was a beautiful day, and the sun was shining down on them as they made their way to the café.

As they walked, Ellie couldn't help but feel grateful for her new friendship with Charlotte. They had texted non stop since they met and they felt an instant connection. They arrived at the café, and Charlotte greeted the staff like old friends. They were led to a table by the window, and they ordered their drinks.

"So, how's everything going?" Charlotte asked, taking a sip of her water.

They continued to talk and catch up on everything that had happened since they last saw each other. As they were finishing up their lunch, they were taking about boys, Ellie took a deep breath, and decided to tell Charlotte all about everything with Sebastian.

"My ex, there's something I should tell you about him" Ellie said, looking down at her hands.

"What is it?" Charlotte asked, concern evident in her voice.

"I'm just going to say it. My ex-boyfriend is Sebastian Stan. We dated for two years, but he cheated on me. I found out and I haven't talked to him since, but..." She trailed off, her voice breaking.

Charlotte reached across the table and took Ellie's hand. "I'm so sorry, Ellie. That's terrible. Are you okay?"

Ellie shook her head, tears brimming in her eyes. "I miss him, Char. I know he hurt me, but I still love him. I don't know if I could ever forgive him, but it's hard not to think about what could have been."

Charlotte squeezed her friend's hand, a sympathetic look on her face. "I understand, Ellie. It's okay to miss him, but you have to remember why you left in the first place. You deserve someone who won't cheat on you, who will treat you with the love and respect you deserve."

Ellie nodded, her tears starting to fall. "I know. It's just hard, you know? Seeing him in the media, knowing he's moved on...it hurts. And then when the other were in New York, I saw him, for the first time in months, and he was with the same girl he was caught cheating on me with"

Charlotte leaned in, offering her friend a comforting hug. "Ellie you're strong, and you'll get through this. You have me and so many other people who love and support you. He's stupid to have messed up something with someone as special as you"

Ellie sighed. "It's been tough, to be honest. I miss him so much, and not just him, I miss our life" she said, referring to Sebastian.

"I can imagine. But you know, Ellie, sometimes things just don't work out. You have to let go and move on," Charlotte said, trying to comfort her friend.

Ellie nodded. "I know. It's just hard to accept that it's over, you know?"

"I understand. But you're strong, Ellie. You'll get through this," Charlotte said, placing her hand on Ellie's.

Charlotte fidgeted with her napkin before finally looking up. "Actually, there's something I wanted to talk to you about," she said hesitantly.

"Sure, what's on your mind?" Ellie asked, her curiosity piqued.

"It's about Charles," Charlotte said a little nervously

Ellie's heart skipped a beat. "What about him?"

Charlotte took a deep breath. "I think he likes you," she said, her eyes flickering up to meet Ellie's

Ellie felt her cheeks turn red. "What? That's ridiculous," she stammered.
