Chapter 25

Once again, Ellie and Charles walked hand in hand into the lively club, their laughter filling the air. Their friends from the VIP era were already there, observing the chemistry between them and the genuine joy on Ellie's face. Everyone could see he was breaking down her walls slowly, but surely.

Emma couldn't help but feel a sense of relief and hope seeing Ellie happy again, despite their complicated history. She made a mental note to give Charles a second chance, even though their history made her a little hesitant. On the other hand she couldn't ignore Sebastian's lingering stares and obvious jealousy. It was clear that he still had feelings for Ellie and struggled to see her with someone else.

Getting inside the VIP area of the club, Ellie and Charles spot Declan and Anna sitting at a table, chatting and enjoying their evening.

"There's Dec" Ellies said excitedly dragging Charles with her towards the couple.

"Bien sûr, Belle. Lead the way." He chuckled at her.

Ellie and Charles walk over to Declan and Anna's table, they're greeted with warm smiles.

"Hey, you two! Having a good time?" Ellie asked, giving Anna a hug before sitting down beside her brother.

"Well, well, if it isn't Ellie and the dashing Frenchman! You certainly know how to make an entrance." Declan teased his sister.

"Oh, come on, Declan, leave them be. You're just jealous you don't have a French accent to impress us with." Anna chimed in.

"Touche. So, where have you two been? According to Chase you were doing something with Emma, but Emmas been with us since the race." Declan continued teasing his sister, with a smirk plastered on his face.

"Oh shut up you imbecile" Ellie playfully slapped her brothers arm, turning slightly red.

"Your aloud to enjoy yourself, Eléa. I especially like it if you piss of Sebastian in the process" Declan chuckled.

"Second that" Charles said with a laugh, taking his arm over Ellies shoulder.

"Okey, thats enough. How about some shots?" Anna said, saving her friend from the conversation. She stood up and took her hand out for Ellie to take, dragging her towards the bar, leaving the two boys laughing.

"She looks so happy" George said to Emma while they were standing on the other side of the bar from Ellie and Anna.

"I think for the first time in a while, she's getting there" Anna answered, with a pleased smile.

Sebastian had immediately seen them walking into the night club. He was standing with Lewis and could feel his heart in his throat, he was about to run up to them and drag her away from the club on instinct, but Lewis, who knew him well enough to know that, just gave him a look to drop it.

As Ellie was taking her second show with Anna, Ellie made eye contact with Sebastian. She knew she had to address the tension between them, so she mustered up the courage to approach him where he was standing with Lewis and Chase. The air was thick with awkwardness as they exchanged glances, but Ellie decided to break the ice by giving Sebastian a quick hug.

"I don't want to spend the night avoiding you, especially when I know how much fun you are drunk." She said in his ear while hugging him, giving him a pleading playful look as she stepped away from his embrace.

Sebastian couldn't help but smile at her attempt to ease the tension. He understood that her lightheartedness stemmed from her tipsiness, but he welcomed it nonetheless. He nodded, silently agreeing to let go of their still ongoing strained situation and his jealousy.
