A/N:

Okey, I'm so sorry for the lack of updates. I've been struggling on where to go from here for so long, but after over a month I've gotten everything sorted.

I have not updated before I had at least 10 chapters done so that I was sure about the direction the story was going in. So from now on there will not be any more breaks like this, at least not for a long time.

There's a lot to come, so prepare yourself. I hope everyone likes it. If any of you have interest in sparring with me for ideas, hmu, I can never get enough input.

I hope you like it, this one's a little meh, but look forward to the next one 🙄😏

Charles stood nervously outside Ellie's hotel room, a bouquet of peonies in his hands. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart. It had been a rollercoaster of emotions this weekend, and now he was determined to make this date unforgettable.

As he raised his hand to knock on the door, it swung open, revealing Emma with a mischievous grin on her face. She glanced at the flowers in his hands before locking eyes with him, her gaze filled with a mix of protectiveness and warning.

"Charles," Emma said, blocking the entrance for Ellie's hotel room, her voice dripping with a hint of menace. "If you hurt her again, I will make sure you regret it."

Charles gulped, feeling the weight of her words. "I promise, Emma," Charles replied, his voice sincere. "I would never screw up another chance."

Emma studied him for a moment, assessing his sincerity. After a tense pause, she nodded and stepped aside, allowing him to enter the room."I'm holding you to that promise, Charles," Emma warned, her eyes still fixed on him. "Ellie deserves nothing but happiness."

"I know," Charles affirmed, his voice filled with determination. "And I intend to give her exactly that."

With the tension somewhat diffused, Emma let Charles step into the room. Ellie was standing near the window, her eyes widening when she saw the flowers in his hands.

She looked absolutely stunning, her radiant smile making his heart skip a beat."Charles! You brought me peonies?" Ellie exclaimed, her face lighting up with delight.

"I couldn't resist" Charles replied, a genuine smile forming on his lips while handing her the flowers

Emma stood at a distance, observing their interaction with a slightly softened expression. She could see the sincerity in Charles' eyes and the joy he brought to Ellie. Perhaps forgiveness was possible.

As Ellie took the flowers from Charles' hands, she turned towards Emma and beckoned her closer. Emma hesitated for a moment before stepping forward. "Emma," Ellie said, her voice filled with gratitude. "Let the guy breathe, he bought me my favorite flowers, and we're meeting you at the club, so if you don't think my smile is big enough when we get there you can torture him then"

"Hey" Charles protested

Emma's stern expression softened further, and she nodded, her eyes shimmering with a mix of protectiveness and sisterly affection."you heard her Leclerc, now make her smile" Emma replied, her voice filled with warmth. "But don't forget, if he breaks your heart, I'll be the first one to ruin him." Ellie just laughed at her best friend.

Charles watched their interaction, a profound sense of gratitude welling up within him. He was determined to prove himself worthy of Ellie's forgiveness.

«Okey, so what are we doing?" She asked as she was sitting next to him in the car, his eyes trained on the road in front of him.
