Chapter 2

The days Ellie spent in London went by fast, too fast. She loved spending time at home. Stephanie, her mom was just amazing and she didn't realize how much she had missed her mom until now. She had spent all her time with her, loving every second of it.

After her parents split they stayed friends. They were the oddest exes Ellie and Declan knew. Their mother, was even good friends with Susie, their stepmother, and Toto was a good friends with Steve, their stepdad. Their parents never made it difficult for them, and they couldn't be more grateful for it.

The flight from London to Bahrain was a long one. Ellie, Emma, Declan and Mason had spent the most of the flight sleeping, considering they were taking a flight through the night so that they arrived early.

Emma and Ellie had spent the last hour of the flight catching up. Not that there was much to talk about when they would talk every day on the phone and text non stop throughout the day.

"How weird is it that your brother and Anna started dating?" Emma asked from her seat beside Ellie.

"I mean, I don't really care, as long as they don't make it awkward for me if things don't work out they can do what they want." Ellie said casually. She actually liked the fact that they were dating, but didn't want to put any pressure on them, so she just let them figure it out.

"Okey good. Well since we're both single now we're gonna have some fun. You don't have any work scheduled before September right?" Emma always loved the fact that Ellie was taking a few months of before the official summer brake. She had been working non stop the last year and after the breakup Emma knew she needed it. Emma on the other hand had just ended her situationship with Pierre Gasly, Ellie hadn't met him, but knew enough to know Emma deserved better. Especially considering he apparently got himself a girlfriend shortly after.

"Yeah, except a few events and some last minute things. Other than that I'm just going to take things as they come, enjoy myself a little bit."

"And start dating." Declan announced from beside them.

"Of course she is, the amount of dates I already have set up for her is endless. And all the boys from the grid are gonna have a field day when I start introducing her !!" Emma squealed out with excitement in agreement

Ellie just shook her head. "You will do no such thing. Can you imagine my dad if I was to even consider being friends with some of them, he would probably disown me." Ellie was friends with some of the drivers, like Lewis, Anna's brother Mick, George Russel, Alex Albon and Lando Norris. She obviously talked to Lewis everyday and saw him regularly, she always talked to George at least once a week, and talked to the three others here and there.

She knew some of the drivers that have been at Mercedes through the years, as well as some of the drivers from Red Bull, since Emma's dad was team principal there. But she didn't share the interest that Emma, Declan and Anna had in getting to know the guys on the grid outside of meeting them at races.

"I can say for sure dad would let that slide if it meant there was no more 40'year olds." Her brother said, which made Emma and Mason laugh hysterically.

"Glad to see my love life is hilarious to you guys." She answered, slightly offended.

Emma and Declan just kept on laughing until they started talking about the party on Sunday to celebrate the start of the season which most of the drivers where going to.

Ellie just looked out, and soon enough they were landing. When they walked out of the airport they could see George and Lando standing there.

"Hey guys, welcome to Bahrain" George said enthusiastically to the group.
