Chapter 12

Anastasia's POV

           Kinabukasan I was still stunned about what happened yesterday. Did he actually tied my hair?

It's so weird though, knowing that Xaven knows how to tie hairs. Not all guys knows how to do that mangilan ngilan lang minsan pa nga sila pa mismo magpapatali sa buhok nila.

"Tapos inakbayan niya ako- hoy Asia! Are you with me?!" inis na bulyaw ni Iraia that snapped me back.

"H-huh?" nagtatakang tanong ko.

"Sabi ko inakbayan - ay bahala ka nga hindi ka naman nakikinig!" she turned to Amaris na busy sa assignment niya at dun pinagpatuloy yung chika niya about sa crush keme interaction daw nila.

Nasa may field kami ng campus at nakatambay sa mga round tables. Athalia was busy on her project, Amaris is too kaso hindi siya makapagfocus dahil sa kakadaldal ni Iraia, si Tiffany ay busy sa cellphone.

"Anastasia." a deep voice suddenly called me from behind. I turned my head to see who it was,

Xaven.

Lahat kaming nasa table ay napatigil padin nadin kakadaldal ni Iraia.

"Remember that you owe me one?" he asked.

I nodded. I think it was few weeks ago.

"Y-yes. Bakit?"

"I want you to repay me, NOW." laglagng panga ko siya na tinignan.

As in ngayon?!

I was about to protest ng maglakad na siya palayo, I quickly packed my things at nagpaalam sa kanila and followed Xaven.

Naabutan ko siyang inaantay ako sa labas ng gate with one of the starps on his bag is hanging in his left shoulder.

Nakaramdam siguro siya ng presensiya kaya nilingon niya ako at umayos ng tayo.

"Saan tayo?"

"Gusto ko sana kumain ng... yung orange na mga bilog na may itlog sa loob," nagtataka ko siyang tinignan. Bilog na may itlog sa loob? Kwek-kwek?

"Kwek-kwek?"

"Yun ata yun, whatever you call it,"

Then we started to walk papuntang food court with him beside me. Ako yung nasa kanan habang si Xaven ay nasa kaliwa. Silence was too loud around us.

Nagulat ako ng biglang hawakan niya beywang ko at pinagpalit ng pwesto.

"Dito ka." he seriously said while guiding me into the other side. Sa may kaliwa.

Namula bahagya ang pisnge ko. Tangina naman tol, dahan dahan sa pagpapapogi points.

Masyadong maingay yung food court ngayon, friday kasi.

Pumila agad kami sa may stall ng kwek-kwekan and he was just standing behind me with hands on his pocket.

I can sense that everyone here was looking at Xaven. Can't blame them though, with Xaven's manly and heavy charisma idagdag pa yung kagwapohan niya mapapalingon ka talaga.

I heard whispers from girls on the other line,

"Grabe ang gwapo!"
"Jowa ba niya yung nasa harapan niya? magkasama kasi silang pumasok kanina"
"Ready magpa anak for him!"
"Sino kaya siya? Taga saang school?"

I just didn't mind their gossips and focus on taking my order.

I ordered kwek-kwek, siomai, siopao at buko juice. I glanced at Xaven at the back,

"Ano gusto mo?" he looked at me confused, baka hindi narinig kasi maingay dito?

"Sabi ko an-" napatigil ako sa pagsasalita ng bigla niyang inilapit ang mukha niya saakin kaya napaatras ako.

Those amber orbs starting at me as if like it was pulling me.

My heart started beating like crazy and I felt the tingling something on my stomach. Butterflies.

My cheeks flushed realizing our position.

Tangina balak ba ako nito halikan?!

"Huh?" innosenteng tanong niya,

"S-sabi ko a-ano gusto m-mo," he nodded and looked at the menu not moving his head away from me.

"Kung ano yung sayo," his deep voice answered me simply.

Agad siyang umayos ng tayo at mabilis kong hinarap yung cashier na nagaantay sa order niya. I told her na same nalang sa order ko while my cheeks we're burning. OMFG!

While waiting for the order naghanap muna kami ng paguupuan sakto at meron sa malapit. It was a seat only for two.

I seated first while Xaven seat infront of me. Mukha tuloy kaming nagdadate!

We just waited until the order came. I was eating with eyes full of delight, ang sarap talaga ng pagkain nila dito!

I confusedly looked at Xaven na parang jinunudge yung kwek-kwek nila dito,

"Bakit?" I asked him while my mouth was partly full.

"Sure ka ba na kwek-kwek 'to? Healthy ba 'to?" He asked with brows frowned.

"Dami mong arte, kainin mo yan oh!" sabi ko at agad na sinubo sa kanya ang buong kwek-kwek sa nakaawang niyang bibig.

At nabilaukan yung gago.

I laughed at his face kasi muntik na siyang mawalan ng hininga dahil nabilaukan. He quickly chew it and drank his juice. I was laughing at his face historically with sabay palo sa mesa.

It caused to echo the whole court kaya lahat ng nandito tumingin sa table namin at saakin. Napatigil ako sa pagtawa at namula yung pisnge.

Hinarap ko sila at nagsorry. Some ignored, mayroong ngumiti at meron namang tumaray.

Xaven was holding his laughter while eating.

"Ilabas mo yan, baka mabilaukan ka ulit," mataray na sabi ko at pinagpatuloy yung pagkain.

He just chuckled habang umiiling.

Seeing him stopping his smiles while looking at me made me realize something.

Was I falling for him?

All those interactions in the campsite, his actions, his sweet treats, the feeling everytime he looks at me with those amber orbs and those soft voice towards me. Does he like me?

Stupid. He will just hate me if he knows that I treat him as a competitor.

Maybe I am just being delusional

And I can't fall for him, especially in my situation, he will surely just hate me.

But I need to stop myself before it's too late.

I need to stop these butterflies.

I can't fall for him.
