Chapter 7

Anastasia's POV

      Pagkatapos ko na maligo, agad akong nag-ayos para sa upcoming activities namin. Paglabas ko ng banyo I was surprised when I didn't see Xaven, baka nasa buffet area?

Agad akong nagbihis. I just simply wore a simple white embroidered knitted top with cute little blue tulips details on the side, and a black pants. I just wore white sneakers since we are going to the forest.

I did a little make up, and fixed my hair into a half ponytail and a ribbon. I packed my things including my digital camera, for sure may magagandang shots akong makukuha dun.

After packing mabilis akong lumabas at pumunta sa buffet area. Sakto at pagpasok ko I saw Athalia, Amaris, Tiffany and Iraia with a vacant seat beside her.

Nang makita ako ni Athalia agad siyang kumaway at tumingin sila saakin. Iraia signaled her hand to the seat beside her, parang nagpapahiwatig na 'dito ka umupo, i save this seat for you'

Nakangiting umupo ako sa table nila.

"I've just heard na roommates kayo ni Xaven?" Amaris said and wiggled her brows.

Nanlaki mga mata ni Athalia at Tiffany habang si Iraia ay muntik lang mabilaukan.

"Seryoso?!" umpit na tili ni Athalia.

"Yes! I talked to Xaven kanina and I was asking him kung nasaan si Asia and he said nasa kwarto daw! He confirmed to me na magroomates kayo!" paliwanag ni Amaris.

My cheeks turned crimson red dahil narinig ata ng taga kabilang table yung sinabi ni Amaris kaya I've heard some whispers and giggles.

"Lumelevel up na yan ah!" Nakangiting sabi ni Iraia na para bang lulalayag na yung loveteam na hinahangaan niya.

"H-hindi ah! Aksidente lang na siya nakapartner ko, wala na kasing bakanteng student na walang partner!." pagdadahilan ko.

"Bat ka defensive?! Sus! dun din nagsimula lola at lolo ko!" Pahabol ni Iraia.

Nagulat kami ng biglang tumayo si Tiffany, "CR muna ako."

We just nodded at her at nagpatuloy sa pagkain at chismis. I've also heard that yung athlete guy na hinahabol ni Iraia wore the same color as her black top na suot niya. She was smiling ear to ear!

She is clearly inlove. Inlove. When will the magical thing will happen to me? I am so busy with academics and proving myself to dad that I often forgot about love.

Sometimes whenever I feel drained and exhausted I wanna rest. But immediately regrets it cause it means that I am tired proving myself to dad. And I will not stop until I will finally prove myself.

With my busy schedule and competitive mind, I don't think there would be a guy na kaya akong pagtiisan. Maybe they will just get bored at me for being too busy with acads.

So growing up I've learned to heal my own healing. Wipe my own tears everytime I fail a test, pick up myself everytime I am at my lowest.

Simply because I don't wanna be a burden to anyone. I don't want to depend on people even though they show thay they are always there but you just can't always depend on them. They have silent battles everyday and I don't wanna be on their backs while they are struggling on their problems.

Mayroon din silang mga problema at ayaw ko na maging pabigat at idadagdag pa sa kanilang intindihin.

When I do need someone, that's the time you will know it's bad.

No one will understand though. How I badly want to prove myself. Mainly because I am hoping na kapag finally mapansin na ako ni Dad, babalik na siya sa dati. Yung dating mapagmahal at maalagang ama.

"How about you Asia? Anong mga bet mo sa guys? Like standards ganun?" Amaris suddenly asked and it snapped me back into reality.

Pinagisipan ko yung tanong niya. Standards in guys?

"Yung kayang intindihin yung pagiging ako. Someone who will not get bored of me kahit na mas prioritized ko pa yung acads kaysa sa kanya. Yung kayang tanggapin yung totoong ako at hindi iiwan hanggang sa dulo ng laban." I immediately felt their hugs.

"Awww... love u talaga!" They all said.

Bigla kaming nakarinig ng tikhim sa likod namin.

"Anastasia." Xaven.

I turned to look at him. He was wearing a black pants and white t-shirt. Basa padin buhok niya kaya medj tumutulo sa damit niya. And his headphones na nakasabit sa leeg niya.

His fit was simple but damn his charisma is overflowing.

"Nawawala yung charger ng headphones ko. Nakita mo ba?"

Charger? Headphone? Hala?! yun ba yung nakita ko sa ilalim ng kama!? Eh nilagay ko yun sa bag ko, akala ko kasi akin eh!

Tumikhim ako, "Ah.. Oo, wait samahan kita hanapin." mabilis akong kumawala sa yakap nila at nagpaalam.

They mabilis silang tumango at binigyan ako ni Iraia ng 'sus palusot la eh gusto mo lang makasama'  look.

Sinabayan niya ako maglakad papunta sa kwarto namin. Silence was so loud. Walang nagsasalita saamin.

Nang mapadaan kami sa malaking salamin na nasa lobby namin, nahagip ng paningin ko si Tiffany. She was hiding in the corner.

Nang nilingon ko siya biglang nawala.
Kanina pa namin siya hinahanap eh.
