Chapter 10 The Day We Return To The USA
When I woke up we were parked at a campus. I got out of the car and grabbed a hydra. So did James. My dad, Chris and his partner Piers grabbed machine guns. After that we headed into the campus. "Why are we here?" I asked slightly confused. "To look for survivers." My father replied. As soon as he said that said that the whole campus locked. You could hear the clicks of all the gate locks locking. "Looks like we're stuck now." Piers said. So we walked into the main building.
We walked in and my dad started to talk to Hunnigan. She watches where he is. Where he's going. And the safe places from the flesh eating freaks. So she helps us out at times. While he was talking James and I saw a figure speed walk down a hallway. "Dad." I whisper screamed. He waved me off and went back to talking. So James and went after the thing. Zombie or not. But I wanted to figure out who or what it was. And if it was a flesh eating zombie I get first kill of the day! So when James and I got to the kitchen you could tell something had been there.
We exited the kitchen and around the corner into the dining hall. "To think. Tonight this was supposed to full of people." I said looking at all the tables with chairs knocked over. James and I kept going until we hit the main part to get to all the dorms. That's when we saw the guy. He was about 19 or 20 years old. I didn't know if he was infected or not. But I can take my chances. "Hey." I said walking closer to him. He turned around and you could tell he wasn't infected.
"It got like everyone." The guy said. "What got everyone?" I asked him. "The blue gas. It got everyone." He said. "Wait James if this virus is spread by gas then. This whole campus is filled with zombies." I said. "That means that this whole world could be infected." James said looking at me. "Come on we gotta tell them." I said. "Come on dude your coming with us." James said to the guy. So we all ran off to tell my dad and piers.
When we got to them they had shot 4 zombies. One mutated into this weird skin sack thing with spikes on its back. "Dad this virus is spread by some sort of blue gas. Some student here James and I found said that this blue gas was covering the campus. That's when everyone got infected." I told my father. "Alright we better get out of here then." Piers said. "We're locked in. Incase you forget we're locked in!"I screamed
Everyone looked at me when I screamed. "Keep it down lyric." My dad told me. "Says the person who mystiously disappeared the day this shit happened!" I screamed at my dad. I walked out of the building and checked the gate. Of course it was locked. So I started to look for the key or another way out. After a while of looking I just climbed over the fence. After that the place filled with zombies. "JAMES!!"I screamed. He came running around th corner being chased by zombies. I kicked open the gate and he ran through. Iocked the gate back and James pulled me close to him. "You okay lyric?"James asked me. I just nodded.
We walked to the car forgetting about everyone. He hopped in the drivers seat. I sat in the passengers seat. James started the car and we left. Zombies started surrounding the car. We ended up hitting a fence. So we got out and Hunnigan came over the ear piece and said to go into the sewer. So we went. It revealed a train tunnel. James and I jumped off the play form and we each only had one full magazine. So we would be focused on physical attacks and only shoot if needed. So we started walking. We heard a train horn and a train started coming so we pushed ourselves up against the wall so we didn't get hit.
"Trains are still running?! How!"I said confused. "Talk about some zombie express."James said with a laugh. I kind of stayed behind him as we walked. He made sure he had my hand in his as we walked. I know what you think. Why am I scared? Well when you live this,which you may soon. You get terrified. All those movies you see and all the games you play turn no reality. It catches you off gaurs when you see the while world or where you grew up go to hell. Your whole life just flashes before your eyes as you all this destruction. It's terrifying when you live it like I am now. You loose you family friends everyone you know. James snapped me out of my thoughts when we came to a huge problem. "We don't have the ammo for this. We have to just run through them all."I told James. So we both bolted past all the zombies.
