CHAPTER 23 Living in hell
I woke up to the oh so familier moans and groans coming from outside. Kaleb was still asleep. 'How the hell are you such a heavy sleeper?' I thought. I sat up and looked out the barred window and saw a small horde of zombies. How is Kaleb sleeping through this?! Its about 20 zombies and they're all moaning and groaning.
I just layed back down trying to ignore the zombies outside. I closed my eyes hoping I would be able to fall asleep again. I sat up and leaned back to where my head resting on the wall. I sighed and put my jacket on. My moving around must have woken Kaleb up because I heard him sit up.
"Sorry. I didn't mean to wake you up." I mumbled.
"It's fine. I started hearing the zombies to so I was only half asleep." Kaleb said wrapping his arm around my shoulders pulling me closer to him.
I rested my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes trying to tone out the zombies. I opened my eyes and saw Kaleb was asleep again. I looked out the window again and the zombies looked like they had multiplied. I just ignored it and fell asleep again. Finally........
(__)__(__) A FEW HOURS LATER (__)__(__)
I woke up again for the second time today to someone shuffling around. I opened my eyes and looked at Kaleb. Once he noiteced that I was awake me crawled over to me and kissed my nose.
"Hey. I didn't mean to wake you up. You can go back to sleep if you want." Kaleb smiled.
I just shook my head and stood up. "Let's just get going." I said as I picked up my sword.
Kaleb stood up after me and grabbed his sword and we walked out of the little building. We started walked down the little dirt road trying to find out how to tell where we were. I heard a few moans behind us but I didn't worry about it that much. That was until I heard them start multiplying. I looked at Kaleb and he looked at me.
"RUN!" We sceamed at each other and we both bolted.
We ran and then rounded a corner hoping they would just run by the little alley way. Neither of us breathed until we saw them run by. We were both completely out of breath and panting like crazy.
"Since. When. Did. They. Get. So. Fast." I said between pants.
"I don't know." Kaleb answered after he caught his breath.
We started walking down the little alley way just to see where it lead us. When we got to the end of the alley we saw this house thing. It was blue and looked like it was about 2 stories. I walked up to the door first and was about to turn the handle when an ear pierceing sheirk erupted. From what sounded like behind the house. So I quickly turned the handle and walked inside the house.
Kaleb was hesitent at first then followed me inside the house. I walked out the back door with Kaleb close behind me. I saw a flight of stairs so I thought for a second if I should go up them or not. Kaleb might freak out if I go up there but oh well.
"Don't go up those stairs." Kaleb whispered in my ear.
"To late." I whispered back.
I started walked up the flight of stairs. I loooked behind me to see if Kaleb was coming and he hadn't moves an inch. "Not coming?" I asked.
He shook his head. I laughed at how scared he was. I walked up to the top of the stairs and stopped at the door at the top of the stairs. I pushed the door open and saw one zombie eating the flesh off of some girl while two other zombie just stood there. They hadn't seen me yet.
I walked up to theone who was snacking on the girl and I cut his head off. The other zombies just stood there and looked at me. So with one swing I cut both their heads off. I rolled my eyes at how stupid they are. It's sad that they are that stupid.
I walked outside to tell Kaleb that it was all clear and it started pouring rain. Kaleb ran up the stairs and into the building.
First we get woken up by a hoarde of zombies. Then we get to sleep. Second we get chased by a huge horde of zombies. Then we escape. I kill a few zombies. And now it's fucking raining!
We go from living in hell. To and okay moment in time or an okay moment in life. Just to go right back to living in hell!
Life just sucks. Ever since the whole zombie apocolypse thing happened life has just gone to hell. I hope this all ends soon. If it does then I hope Kaleb and I are the reason that life goes back to normal......
