Chapter 27 - The Chase Is On
I looked at Kaleb and shook my head.
"Can't risk it." I said looking at at the ground between the grate we were standing on.
"Then let's just run at him. He can't stop us both." Kaleb suggested.
I smiled at him and nodded. We jumped off the grste thing and landed on the ground. As soon as we hit we both bolted. The Irving guy must have seen us out of the corner of his eye because right before I grabbed him he ran. The chase it on!
"LET'S GO AFTER HIM! HE'S KINDA OLD HE CAN'T RUN AS FAST AS US."I yelled over to Kaleb.
I saw him nod and we both picked up some speed. I could tell this Irving guy way slowing down a bit so I pusshed my self a little harder. I was so close I could reach out and touch him.
Kaleb looked at me and I could tell he was telling me not to grab him. So I didn't. We turned a corner and Kaleb almost fell but he caught back up quickly. Kaleb nodded at me giving the okay to grab him. So just as I reached my arm out to grab him someone grabed him and just like disappeared. I stopped running and punched the wall causing a little crack to form on the old bricks.
"We lost him!" I shounted.
"Lyric we'll find him. He couldn't have gotten far." Kaleb said attempting to calm me down.
"Well if someone just droped down and he was gone he could be anywhere right now!" I snapped at him.
Kaleb looked at me with pleading eyes. I just shook my head and looked at him. I knew I shouldn't have snapped at him I just can't believe that we lost him. I was looking around when I spotted a small car. I nodded my head over in the direction of the car and Kaleb looked.
"Maybe our luck has changed a little." Kaleb said started to jog over to the car.
He pulled me along with him. After a little jogging we both bolted to the car. As soon as I looked at what the person was wearing I knew it was Irving. I know an expensive white suit when I see one. He must Have seen us coming because I heard the engine roar to life. I knew then and there Kaleb and I were going to left in the dust. Right as we got to the car he drove off.
"This is going to a huge chase isn't it." I said looked at Kaleb as I tried to catch my breath.
"Hate to say it but it's going to be huge and long." Kaleb said as we walked following the car tracks.
I immediently messaged Hunnigan:
Hunnigan,
We found him but he ran. We will ge the son of a bitch for you but it might take a little bit.
We continued walking for what felt like hours. It finally started getting dark so we started looking for a place to crash for the night. I would love to walk through out the night but things can sneak up on you at night. Kaleb and I found a building and set up and fell asleep. Another day that I have survived in this hell hole.
