Chapter 16 We Find A Place To Stay?
We stopped at a gun store and stocked up on ammo. I started walkng arounf when I found the best thing ever invented. A rockeet launcher. I took it off the hook thing it was on and it wasnt as heavy as people think. It looks heavy but it's not that heavy. Kaleb walked up and saw what I was holding. "Take it find the ammo for it were so keeping this thing."Kaleb said looking at it like it was his long lost brother or a million dollars.
I found like 20 rockets and put that in the back of the truck with me and Kaleb. We didn't find a hotel so we parked somewhere in an isolated area. The people that sat inthe cab of the truck slept there and the people in the back slept in the back. So me and Kaleb had the blankets we packed and we had a few pillows we layed them across the duffle bags and stuff so no one could steal anything. It had been a long day and we were all tired.
I woke up and saw Kaleb making sure nothing was stolen. "Morning."He said looking up for a second then going back to double checking the weapons and ammo. Then all the sudden his mood completely changed.
"I'm missing like 5 or 10 boxes of shot gun shells!"Kaleb said trying not to yell. The truck with all the guys in their 20's looked guilty as hell. I hopped out of the back of the truck wearing my tank top my blue skinny jeans and my knee high black and white converse. I walked over to their truck and held a sword to one of their throats. "Give me the ammo before I kill all of you."I said getting aggervated.
"Who's gunna take a girl in a tank top and skinny jeans seriously?"The blonde one asked looking me up and down. "I killed a horde of about 50 to 100 zombies with 1 granade."I said digging the sword deeper into the guys throat.
They all quickly handed me the boxes and I just walked over to Kaleb and handed him the ammo. He gave me a quick kiss on the cheek and put up the ammo. Every started getting ready to leave. I was just kinda sitting around waiting for Kaleb to finish repacking everything. Once we knew everyone was packed up we left. We drove until we found a walmart and people filled the trucks up with gas while other went to search the store. "Where are we going exactly?" the little girl who was about 4 or 5 asked. "Anywhere safe." Kaleb replied.
I walked ahead and Kaleb made sure laura had the little girl ran up to me and grabbed my hand. "Thought you were busy with the little girl." I said simply. "Well your cooler and cuter."Kaleb said. "Flirting gets you no where."I said rolling my eyes.
"You know you love me so shut it."Kaleb said. I rolled my eyes and just walked off. I walked inside the walmart and started looking for anything that could be used.Then something rang. Then I remembered I had my dads tablet thing. It's like a phone but a clear slate of glass. It had a text from his boss hunnigan.
Hunnigan: Chris. Irving id the key he's in africa now.Find a way to get there.
And I replied...
Lyric: Chirs is dead. I'm his daughter Lyric I can get this Irving guy for you. Just tell me what to do.
I waited a few minuets and no response. So I grabbed enough medication for each truck and ran back out. I passed out the medication and once more we left. All I know is I have to get to Africa. SOON
