Two months.

It's been two months since I've gotten a letter back. I should of known.

I feel used, portrayed, and the most unwanted feeling... I feel alone.

Once again and I don't know why I still let it go on, I should of known.

I did know, yet I still let these little feelings get to me. Thinking that I could of made a friend.

Wow, boy did I think...

-

The summer passed, you would think I would of had a distant friendship over he summer that I could spend the late night webcamming while having a Netflix marathon with but no.

This whole pen pal friendship didn't even go far. I didn't want to be the last letter sent.

It's like that feeling when you wait for a text, only for it to say 'Read' with the time on it which was two hours ago.

Two.

Two months ago...

Now it's the first day of school and I have no cool stories to tell. I don't get to say how I made new friends because I didn't.

I at least wanted to say to became friends with Taylor but I don't think that's true.

He only used me.

Enough with these thoughts.

I'm currently looking for my classes that I have this school year. I keep feeling someone glare me down. These chills on my spine, it tingles. Just the thought of someone maybe looking at me scares me. Nobody usually does.

During the time I was opening my locker, down thing slipped to the bottom of my shoe.

It was a red envelope addressed,

Secret Admirer

However, this gave me more chills than when I thought someone was staring at me.

Maybe it was the same connection between these two tiny hints.

Either way, I'm a little uncomfortable for my first day of school.

I continue my day, not wanting to read this letter until my walk home.

There are some familiar faces, some new ones, but I am the type of buzzy bee type of kid. I have different crowds and basically hop around back and forth to different groups.

Whoever I seem to find first, I will hang out with them.

"Hey! Cam." I hollered as I walked toward him.

"I would but I have to go to do something at the office as my punishment for last years prank. Catch up later okay?" He hugged me before slightly jogging to the office, turning and waving one more time at me. "Text me later!" I smiled and gripped on my backpack, faintly waving back.

I started to circle around school a little until I saw Aaron walking alone as well.

"Welcome back! What are your classes?" Aaron leaned in for those bro hugs as he slipped out his schedule from his back pocket.

Shawn had it on his phone, they exchanged classes even though this was already break.

"Is that yours?" Aaron asked pointing to the floor with a red envelope. "Right, yeah."

"I made a pen pal this summer. We still talk. He's great actually. I hope to meet him one day. He's not that far, North Carolina actually. I mean it's a whole new country but still." Aaron shrugs as he smiles, picking up my falling envelope that must of dropped when I went to reach for my phone.

"Me too. It didn't work out."

"Why?"

"He just stopped sending."

I sighed.
