Going Forward (Part 1)

It isn't my first time having to sleep outside, so I'm used to it. I'm not going to bother with the room anymore. It was obvious after our first meeting that they don't want anything to do with me. I went inside to find that I still had another hour and a half until class started. I stretched and made my way to the bottom of the dorms building.

After grabbing a bit of breakfast I made my way to the amphitheater which doubled as the training area. We were allowed to use it during our free time. Being alone to train is always enjoyable.

I had made the bronze staff from the other day into my belt, so I took it off and straightened it out. I had some training with simple weapons, but I'm no expert in them. I've always been a sort of Jack of many but an Ace of none.

I even have limited metal I could use now, I was never prohibited from taking the metal from around me until I came here. I have my cuff metal which is aluminum with some gold buttons mixed in, gold which I have little control from a distance. It isn't the best, but it will manage as an arm and simple armor.

The locker they gave me is steel, but I use it as shifting armor, mostly for my body and left arm. I have more control over steel, but I can't make small things with it. Then I have my bronze mask and staff with me. I can't change my mask for it blocks a lot of the stench of Schnee in the air. It isn't perfect but it makes do.

My bronze staff is hard and, I hope, makes a great base for many more weapons. I just have to sacrifice a bit of my armor to make heads of different weapons. Only downside with bronze is I have no range control with it. I can easily manipulate it when I make contact with it though. I guess I can't forget the spike choker that Coco and Velvet gave me, it does help make simple shapes without excess metal use.

I started training by using the staff with only my left arm. I didn't think it would be hard at first, but I found out I was sorely mistaken. It's easy to use if I make my cuff arm, but I need to get used to fighting with my left. I was practicing control when I heard others walk in. I could both hear and smell them before seeing them.

Pyrrha: "I don't know where he would've gone."

Nora: "But I don't want him to leave! I didn't even get to see him transform!"

Stele: "I'm not some sort of attraction at a show for your entertainment."

They jumped at the sound of my voice.

Pyrrha: "Oh! Stele! I had thought you left after everything yesterday."

Stele: "Don't worry sitter. A little dispute like that is better then my other options."

Pyrrha: "Uh, I don't know if you remember but my name is Pyrrha, Pyrrha Nikos."

Stele: "I know your names, I just don't use them. I call you on a description on our first meeting."

Nora: "Oh! Oh! What's my name?"

I looked at her again.

Stele: "I had initially thought of orange because of your hair."

Nora: "Whhaaaat! That's so boring!"

Stele: "Well I wasn't in the best of situations when we first met. But seeing you now, I could call you Shortstack."

She seemed to be thinking about it.

Nora: "I suppose it's better then just orange. But anyways! Are we going to workout now Pyrrha?"

Pyrrha: "If Stele doesn't mind it. He was here first."

Stele: "What does it matter if I care if you train here or not? You're supposed to be watching over me aren't you?"

She tried to say something but I ignored it and went back to self training. I was getting a bit better with my left, but not to the level that would win fights.

Pyrrha: "Are you having trouble Stele:"

Stele: "I don't know if you noticed, but I'm sort of missing my right arm."

Pyrrha: "Right. Sorry."

Stele: "You have nothing to be sorry about. I'm the one that missed, and the consequence was my arm."

Nora: "Why don't you just make your metal arm again? It was amazing that you were able to throw your staff all the way into Professor Ozpin's window from the floor. So it has to be crazy strong."

Nora was lifting some heavy weights and Pyrrha was doing shadow sparring. I sighed at her statement and walked up to her. Pyrrha was watching me as I walked up to her. I shifted my cuff arm into form and lifted up the weights with ease.

Stele: "Yes Shortstack. My arm made of metal is really strong. Especially when it's dealing with other metals. But with my conditions, I'm limited with metal and what if I need the metal I have for another purpose?"

Pyrrha: "So you are training your left arm with the staff. But why don't you make the staff into armor like the rest of it?"

Stele: "I suppose since you are one of my Sitters you should know. But I'm still training my semblance. Do you know how many types of metal there? A lot. Each one has a different feel to them. Aluminum and Steel I found often which are trained a lot, but others like bronze weren't so I only have some training with them. "

I tossed the weight into the air which made Nora brace and Pyrrha reach for the weight.

Stele: "Don't worry, I still have the weight. Steel is the most common metal around which let me train with it a lot. I can control steel around me to a certain extent. I can move it around and pulled it towards me. It's similar to your polarity, to an extent that is."

I pulled the weight back to my hands and put it on the floor. The whole time I could feel another force pulling it, most likely Pyrrha's polarity.

Pyrrha: "You almost killed her! "

Stele: "But I didn't. Do you see where we are? There is metal everywhere. If I wanted to kill her I would've pulled the weight down as she was lifting. Just like I could with you, gold is also metal you know. Your little tiara thing you wear, your bracers as well. It would take just a few moments to crush them."

She seemed to fully get what I could do now.

Stele: "But I'm not an animal. I know what's best for me. Staying in this school and not back where I was is a thousand times better. You have also done no wrong to me. So I have nothing against you. I'm going to take a shower, class starts soon."

(I missed uploading Monday/Tuesday but I will always upload 1 part a week. I also realized I've been misspelling Pyrrha the whole time. I've been putting Pyrrah, thankfully there wasn't too many times where I've put her name. Just gotta remember for future parts.)
