The Island (Day 2)

After dealing with team CRDL I spent my time tied to a tree at the watering hole. Tying a rope would have been a lot harder if I didn't have the metal from them. I didn't sleep last night, and with the sun rise meant an approximate 24 hours had passed since the whole event started. I didn't sleep the day before either, just too many things keeping me awake.

"Morning sleepy head."

Fonti was at the watering hole watching the early animals drink. She hasn't gone away since after I dealt with team CRDL. Be it either from Emerald's semblance having some sort of long term effect on me, or somehow due to lack of sleep, but either one is not good for me.

Stele: "I didn't even sleep and you know it. Now, careful down there I'm going to do something."

I don't even know why I warned her, guess it just felt like I should. It's not like she could get hurt anymore. I watched her back away from the animals drinking water as I lowered an electrified tusk down.

"Woah."

She had already moved closer as a boar was electrified. The watering hole was too big and the boar was far away from others that they weren't effected. I now had to take it away from here.

"What are you going to do now?"

Stele: "I'm going to get this ready for later. And while it gets ready, I'm going looking for my main prey."

Today is also when they should drop in some of our weapons. Before worrying about that though, I had to continue with the boar. I dragged the boar from the watering hole and to a tree away from others. Dragging the boar and hanging it was a lot easier than the Boarbatusk variant at least. Then with a slit to the neck, it would hang and slowly bleed out for later use.

"I liked that one."

Stele: "You like just about everything. You were always just too kind."

I knew where the tree was and other things to keep things away from it, I was off to further into the island. I kept one of the big tusks in hand as I walked. It was good enough to break apart any large shrubs or other things on the way, and not cause a spark of fire.

"You going for Schnee now?"

Stele: "Hopefully. The island is big and I don't know where she could've landed or with who."

Though Schnee was my main target there were a few I wouldn't mind running across. Yang gets on my nerves still and I would want a rematch with her. Team CRDL was already gone, I would've done worse but they were at least helpful. Cinder and her group are always up on the list, though I doubt they were here, probably doing what they need to at Beacon. Then there's also the two I was dropped off with Arslan and Neon. There's only one I wouldn't want to fight here, and luckily I know Pyrrha is too peaceful to attack first.

Fonti was enjoying herself by looking at all the plants and animals as we walked, none of them reacted to her anyways. The island was much of the same, just trees and bushes. There were the occasional evidence of someone else, but none that mattered to me.

A loud boom in the sky caught my attention, and I'm sure many others on the island. Several trails of smoke were in the sky, each one was headed by a star of fire headed our way. It was probably lockers containing weapons, which would make everyone head towards them. There were a lot less coming down than there were people, and not many were headed for my side of the island.

Stele: "Come on Fonti, we have supplies to get."

She was crouched in front of a frog poking at the cheeks as it croaked.

"Coming Cub!"

The jungle came alive as the boom caused the animals to run to safety. Deers running around, monkeys jumping tree to tree, mice running from one small cranny to a nook with a fox close behind. I was getting hungry and it would take too long to catch and prepare an animal. So I had a quick snack of PBJ thanks to the MRE side dishes.
