For once I woke up without anyone bothering me, no incessant knocking or other loud noises disturbing me. I just woke up in the darkness of my makeshift box, I had to undo the top of the box to sit up and stretch a little. Taking a quick look around the room I could see that Blake was the only other one awake. Sitting up against the wall, it looked as if she didn't notice me. Too busy reading the book in her hands with a few more placed to her side.
Stele: "Ninjas of love? Interesting book you're reading kitty."
She jumped a little at hearing me, causing me to laugh. I guess she was really engrossed in her book to notice me moving. Then again, knowing what kind of book it was that she was reading would do it.
Blake: "I didn't see you wake up!"
She was looking towards Ruby and Weiss now, checking if either one was awake yet. I could tell that she was still nervous being alone with me, though I guess that is partly what these next few few days are for. I had gotten up now and started collecting all my metal back into the Forge.
Blake: "I thought you said you would be clothed?"
I looked at her as she put her head down. I then looked at myself. I didn't see what the problem was, I was only shirtless.
Stele: "Well Kitty. I had promised that I would on the way to my box. I never said anything about exiting the box or inside the box. Besides, I'm only shirtless. Are you telling me none of you have gone shirtless in the room? Cowlick certainly looks like one that would do it often."
Blake: "No, none of us go shirtless in here! Could you just put on a shirt please? I want to get back to my book before the others wake up."
I put on my school uniform coat, put the Forge onto my back and started for the door.
Blake: "Wait! Where are you going?"
Stele: "I'm going to go train. It's what I've been doing during free time. You just stay there and read your smut."
Her face started get red from embarrassment and tried to hide it by burying . I could hear what she said before the door closed though.
Blake: "I'm supposed to be with you today..."
I started riding the Forge down the hall and out of the building. The sun was just coming up, so I still had at least an hour or so before class starts. There were a few other students outside, but there were not in the auditorium training. The only ones that come in at this time are Nora and Pyrrha, while Yang comes in after classes. As I entered they were already doing their own stuff.
Nora: "Wolfy! You made it!"
Nora was laying on a bench lifting some large weights and Pyrrha was shadow sparring. Each impressive to just look at in their own right.
Stele: "Of course I made it. No one of team RWBY comes here at this time which is great. Especially since I won't be near Schnee I can take off my mask for now. It gets tiring always having the mask on you know."
I loosened the clasp on the back and let it hang around my neck.
Nora: "But I like the mask. It looks cool on you."
Stele: "That may be, but you don't have to constantly wear it, or go on a rampage if you smell certain things."
Nora: "I don't know about that. You never seen me with Ren's pancakes. Then if I get to cover it all in the special syrup Ren makes, Oh man."
She was drooling at the thought of pancakes now. I was getting mad though, I didn't like her trying to compare my situation with pancakes...pancakes of all things.
Stele: "Well, you aren't locked up, looked down on, called a monster, not trusted. Just for eating pancakes are you?!"
She reracked the bar and turned away from me. Pyrrha had stopped her own training and looked back at us.
Pyrrha: "Stele. She was just trying to be nice to you. You don't need to take your anger out on her."
I knew I was in the wrong. I didn't need to be told by others for this.
Stele: "I am not taking my anger out on anyone. I just don't want what I go through day by day, to be compared to eating pancakes."
Nora: "I'm sorry Stele. I didn't know that you go through that."
I took in a deep breath, I didn't want to cause more problems with them.
Stele: "No you didn't, but how could you? None of you know me. It's up to Schnee to find out. You've also done nothing wrong to me yet Short Stack. You are one of the only ones that hasn't judged me for anything. So, I'm the one that's sorry Short Stack."
She turned back towards me, now with a smile. I'm glad she could bounce back so easily from this.
Nora: "It's okay Wolfy. Now, are we going to work out now, or what?"
I didn't realize, but I was happy and smiling at her calling me wolfy again, It reminds me of better times. I took a glance toward the stands, up in the rafters sat the one that tried to sneak in a while ago, Blake. She had entered from somewhere else and was sitting in the dark watching us.
We spent our time doing our own training. I was getting one handed spear attacks down quite well, as well as better control over copper. With the couple minutes before others would start to come in for class, we headed for the showers. Before entering the showers, as the last one I waved towards Blake which startled her, making her almost fall from her perch.
(You know, I don't think I've ever really said Stele's height. Well, I'm sorry if others had a height in mind already. But I've his height around team RWBY's. He is around Yang's height which is, at least for Vol 1-3 around 5'7"? Anyways, Stele is not taller than her. So he would be either 5'6" or 5'7" an inch shorter or same height. Blake is apparently about 5'5" so Stele is taller than her.
I followed https://www.deviantart.com/unitymanipulator/art/Rwby-Height-Chart-2-0-510528815 this height chart from unityManipulator which is apparently a Higher rez of the original chart. Not sure if links work on here.)
