Unloved

Unloved, a heart can ache and yearn,
For love that never seems to come.
The emptiness that lingers there,
A burden heavy, never done.

The nights are long, the days are cold,
When love is but a distant dream.
The silence echoes through the soul,
A hollowness that cannot be redeemed.

To be unloved is to feel alone,
In a world that seems to thrive on love.
The heart will wither, the spirit dim,
As hope recedes, and fear takes hold.

But know that love will find its way,
Through the darkness and the pain.
The heart will open, the soul will soar,
And love will come to you again.

Until that day, hold fast to hope,
And cherish all the love you've known.
For in the end, love is what remains,
And the heart will find its way back home.
