I know that I'm not always right,
My moods can shift, my thoughts take flight.
Anxiety and insecurities,
Sometimes get the best of me.
But deep down I know that you,
Love me for who I am, it's true.
I need to understand that show-off,
Isn't everything, it's time to let go.
I can't help feeling jealous sometimes,
When I see others in love, it chimes.
But please don't think I don't care,
I appreciate your efforts, they're rare.
I don't want to be a side chick,
I understand that you have my back.
I'm sorry for the hurt I've caused,
I never meant to leave you paused.
I know I'm not perfect, it's clear,
But I promise to always hold you dear.
Together we'll work through this strife,
And create a love that's full of life.
