Lost in Reflection

In deep shadows, where echoes hide,
I wander lost, a vacant tide.
A stranger to the face I see,
A haunting mask, no longer me.

Once vibrant hues adorned my soul,
A symphony of dreams untold.
But time's cruel hands, they clawed my core,
And stole the essence I held before.

The mirror reflects a foreign gaze,
A shattered vessel, lost in haze.
The footsteps I once proudly tread,
Now lead to paths of endless dread.

No longer do I know the song,
That once within my heart belonged.
The melody, a distant hum,
An echo of who I've become.

The laughter that once danced with light,
Now lingers in the depths of night.
The tears I shed, a silent rain,
Washing away the fragments of pain.

I yearn to find that sacred spark,
To resurrect the light, now dark.
To rediscover who I am,
And break free from this self-made dam.

But in this journey, I will find,
A strength within, a resilient mind.
For though I'm changed, I still remain,
An unwritten story, yet to regain.

So, I'll embrace this unknown realm,
With weary steps, I'll overwhelm.
And in the depths of this abyss,
I'll forge a self, no longer amiss.

For I am more than what's been lost,
A spirit that can bear the cost.
I'll rise anew, phoenix in flight,
Reclaiming fragments of my light.

In the deep shadows, I'll find my way,
And greet the dawn of a brand-new day.
No longer myself, yet I soar,
Embracing change, forevermore.
