The next day Luz, who was wearing a white tank top and purple shorts, was heading over to Eda's house with Gus who was wearing teal shorts and black shirt and Willow wearing short jean shorts and green tank top. "I wonder why eda wants us to wear clothes made for the beach," Luz asked. "I don't know." Gus said. "So did anything happen with Amity yesterday?" Willow wondered why Amity didn't leave with them.
"Uh well she may or may not have asked me on a date to the fair during this coming weekend." Luz said stuttering and blushing red. "Oh my god Luz that's great." Willow said proudly that Amity finally asked out Luz. They soon saw Amity walking towards Eda's house wearing a seafoam green bathing suit with black shorts. "Hey guys still confused on why we have to wear a bathing suit for training?" Amity asked as they reached Eda's house . Just then Eda came out of the house. "Come on kids, we're taking this lesson towards the beach." Eda said as she showed them her car keys. To reveal Eda's car which was a 1965 red convertible red mustang.

"Hey Eda not to be rude but how come you don't get a new car so you don't dirty or damage this one." Luz asked. "Pssh what's the point of having classic cars without showing off. Now get in." Eda said. Luz took the passenger seat while Amity,Gus and Willow took the back and soon Eda drove them off towards the beach while driving they passed by a little lake. 35 minutes later Eda parked the car. "Alright kids, this lesson is gonna teach you guys how to find balance and kick." Eda said as she got out of the car. "And how will we do that?" Willow asked as she got out of the car.
"By getting into the water when those waves are close to coming try to kick and try to balance the kicking." Eda said. Luz,Amity,Gus and Willow then started heading towards the water. Luz stood and started walking farther. "Guys wave incoming." Luz said as she started getting ready and as the wave came in kicked and was still standing. Amity,Gus and Willow managed to also still stand when kicking. This went for awhile them practicing kicking until Luz started getting out all the while to see Eda wasn't there. "Uh guys where's Eda?" Luz said.
"What do you, she's right the-"Gus said as he got out of the water but saw she wasn't there. "Uh guys she's right over there." Amity said, pointing in direction. Luz,Gus and Willow turned to see Eda was standing on a wooden stump. "What is she doing?" Willow asked. Eda looked and slowly she started raising one of her legs up and her arms.
She focused and jumped on her other leg and kicked with the same leg while landing on her other leg. 'What kind of move was that?' Luz thought. Just then Eda came back with towels. "Here kiddos." Eda said as she gave each and everyone of them a towel. "Eda, where did you learn that kind of move?" Luz asked curiously. "Oh that was something I learned when I was younger." Eda replied. "Is it possible for us to learn that move?" Gus asked.
"Yeah but it takes a lot of skill, balance and practice. Anyways we're gonna go somewhere else to help you guys balance." Eda said Luz,Amity,Willow and Gus looked at each other before shrugging as they headed towards the car. Eda then drove them in the direction of her house but then took a turn towards the lake that they passed by.
Once there Eda got out of the car and went towards a little shack that was renting out boats/canoes Luz,Amity,Gus and Willow followed her and quickly aided her to help take out two wooden boats that she rented into the water. "Alright for this lesson I want you guys to learn balance. The first boats gonna have Me,Luz and Tweedledum, the second boat's gonna have boots and Goops. Now get to it." Eda said
Luz and Willow got into one of the boats as Gus and Amity got in the other boat. "Alright Goops and boots follow me." Eda said as she started paddling to get farther in the lake Amity and Gus followed. Once they reached far enough in the water Eda stopped, so did Amity and Gus.
"Alright Tweedledum and Boots drop the anchor so we don't start drifting away." Eda said as Amity and Willow dropped it. "Okay now in order to find balance you must learn how to balance Luz and Goops. Go to the front of the boat and stand up." Eda said. Luz slowly lifted herself up and started walking towards the front of the boat to stand on it. Gus, who was already near the front boat stood up and was now on the front.
"Now do the training I taught you two Left,right,Up,down side to side all in that order and remember to breathe in and out." Eda said. Luz and Gus started doing the exercises in the order that Eda told them while Amity and Willow watched and wondered what's gonna happen next. "Hey Eda, when are we gonna learn how to punch yet?" Gus asked as he did the moves.
"We'll first you four need to find balance both physically and mentally that way your karate is good but if you don't find balance then there's no point in training any more. Which is why these past few lessons I've been training you in defense given on how Hunter and his friends use offense but that doesn't mean other people are using offense so first you learn defense and then offense."Eda said.
"Oh I get it you want us to have a mixture of both offense and defense so that we have a good chance." Luz said, still doing the movements. "Exactly and that's why you guys need to find balance so you can learn to balance both skills and not use the other skill." Eda said. "Is that why you were the sixth time karate champion and 2 year sekai taikai champion?" Luz asked.
"Ahh I see you found the trophy that principal Bump kept after the bonesborough karate committee donated it to me." Eda said. "Yeah Gus actually found it." Luz said. "Yeah back in my good old days." Eda said remembering. "But why didn't you pursue a career in karate like being a sensei?" Amity asked. "I wanted to have a life where I can have a job that can actually help me pay for my life essentials and I figured being a Karate sensei wasn't gonna make a lot so I decided when I went to college to major in business and culinary and behold I opened my own dinner and business boomed." Eda said.
"Wow, I had no idea." Luz said as she did the side to side. "It's nothing besides kid, it was time for me to put up the belt anyways once I turned 18 I couldn't really compete no more." Eda said. "But hey I at least get to teach you guys and do this." Eda said as she started shaking the boat causing Luz to fall in the lake. "Argh." Luz said as she scampered back on the boat . "Haha." Gus laughed at Luz Amity then shook the boat causing Gus to fall in.
"Argh not cool Amity." Gus said, getting on the boat. Eda snorted and started laughed "uh your faces alright boots and Tweedledum your turned remember Left,right,Up,down side to side all in that order and remember to breathe in and out" Eda said as he laughter died down. Willow and Anity headed toward the Front and practiced the movements. As Gus and Luz wrapped the towels around them. They then spent most of the time practicing until nightfall and let's just say Gus and Luz weren't the only ones that fell into the water.
