Luz the Karate Kid

Chapter 17

2 weeks have passed since the karate tournament and Luz was now able to walk normally again. Once Luz,Amity,Gus and Willow head back to school they were greeted by many of their classmates congratulating them on their win over Hunter turns out many people watched the tournament. "Nice win again Luz." A classmate of hers said Luz nodded before heading with her girlfriend and friends at their lunch table.

"Still not used to the fact that we're pretty popular at the school." Luz said as she sat down and wrapped her arm around Amity as Amity cuddled up to her shoulder. "I mean what can you expect, everyone didn't like how Hunter acted like he was above everyone." Amity said.

"Speaking of Hunter, look there he is." Willow said as she pointed to Hunter who was wearing a wolf shirt and jeans with his yellow long sleeve tied around his waist, sitting with his friends but something about him was that he looked less confident, no longer snarky, avoiding eye contact with everyone which resulted in him being bullied but he looked happy even during the bullying.

"Hey Hunter, how does it feel to no longer have power? I heard your uncle is now in prison serves him right." A senior said as he threw a carton of milk at Hunter who was now drenched in milk. Luz had enough and got up from her seat and grabbed a milk cartoon before dumping it on the person who threw it. "Do that again and you'll see exactly how I won the tournament." Luz said as the senior glared at her as she walked away and approached Hunter.

"You alright Hunter?" Luz asked. "Yeah I'm fine, not the first time I got milk thrown on me." Hunter said as Dale gave him napkins to clean himself. "Ooh isn't that the shirt your dad just gave you." Daniel said as Hunter's shirt got stain. "Dad? So does that mean your mom and dad forgave you?" Luz asked. "Yeah they both cried the moment I returned and now I live with them again." Hunter said.

Luz nodded before speaking up "Hey I know me and you aren't on good terms and considering you kicked the crap out of me but if you need someone to talk to I'm here. Watch over him guys." Luz said to Hunter, Daniel ,Matthew, Dale and Jacob as she walked back to her lunch table.

Luz walked back to her table as Gus asked "Why did you talk to him? He literally could've killed you considering the things he's done to you." Gus asked. "Gus he's not evil he was just misunderstood and confused believe me I know." Amity said softly as Luz wrapped an arm around her shoulder and kissed her forehead.

Just then Luz felt a buzz on her phone and looked to see it was Eda. "Meet me at the building of EMPERORS FIST there's something I gotta tell you." Luz read to Amity,Gus and Willow. "Sounds urgent." Amity said. "Yeah we'll head over after school." Luz said as the bell rang signaling lunch ended as Luz and co walked to class.

Soon school ended and Luz,Gus,Amity and Willow all made there way too town square  where emperors fist dojo is located. After word got out about Phillip's questionable training and his arrest most students left the dojo causing it to shut down.

As Luz and co arrived at the dojo they saw Eda standing in front of the building. "Hey Eda, what happened? It sounded urgent?" Luz asked. "Guess what Kiddos?"Eda asked. "You and Raine are getting back together." Luz joked remembering how Eda told her about the date they went on. "What no." Eda said, hiding her blush. "I am opening up a dojo." Eda said as she showed Luz,Amity,Gus and Willow the key to the building as she unlocked it and opened it as they entered .

"What made you change your mind?" Amity asked. "You all did an amazing job at the tournament, and showed me that no matter what comes in your way you can overcome it. So I decided to fulfill my long time dream and opened a dojo." Eda said. "But Eda what about the Dinner?" Willow asked. "Don't worry I'll be doing work here and there. Let's just say I may have called in a few other instructors. Ah here they come." Eda said.

Luz,Amity,Gus and Willow looked to see three people came in and entered one was a man with green eyes and dark skin black hair hair tied up in a high ponytail wearing a purple suit. The other was a man with pale skin and brown eyes with ash-blond hair tied in a ponytail with a hanging forelock wearing a blue business suit and the other being a woman with red curly hair and eyes of blue wearing a dark grey dress.

"Eda!" the women said as she hugged Eda as she reciprocated the gesture. "Lilith  said "thank you for coming. How's mom been?" Eda asked. "She is doing good. She has been wondering when you're gonna visit." Lilith said. "Darius!" Eda said doing a signature handshake with the man in the purple suit.

"Hello Eda, how have you been?" Darius asked. "I've been good. Caleb how's the most successful lawyer doing?" Eda said to the man in a ponytail. "I've been fine Eda thank you for having me." Caleb said. "Uh Eda what's going on." Luz asked. "Oh sorry kiddos this is Lilith my older sister, Darius my old friend from school and Caleb who is Darius friend and work buddy in law works. Guys this is Gus, Perry porters kid, Willow Gilbert and Harvey's kid, Amity Blight Alador's kid and Luz Noceda Camila's kid. " Eda said. Luz,Amity,Gus and Willow waved.

"So you're Luz Noceda, my son told me all about you. I'm sorry if he's caused you trouble." Caleb said. "All is forgiven." Luz said. "So Eda have you told them?" Darius asked. "I was about to." Eda said. "Guys Caleb, Darius and Lilith have agreed to be the instructors here at the dojo. So while I may be working at the dinner they will instruct you guys." Eda said.

"Eda, that's great!!" Gus exclaimed. "Yeah not only that but we get to know new styles of karate." Luz said. "Not only karate but different types of martial arts. Lily here knows kung fu, Caleb was taught how to do extreme kicks and flips in karate,Darius here after karate started learning Muay-thai, kickboxing."  Eda said.

"So we're gonna have a wider variety of styles and techniques in the dojo." Luz said. "Exactly." Eda said. Luz,Amity,Gus and Willow looked at one another before giving a look of agreement. "Let's get this dream started." Luz said.

And soon Eda's dojo began everyone having a part to do Darius was busy providing windows so that light can not interfere during classes but also on the walls in the dojo and also providing the equipment for the classes like kick boards,punching bags, fighting poles etc.

Caleb was in charge of designing the floor adding soft cushioning on the floor and matts. Lilith was stocking on a supply room that contained extra training equipment, and first aid supplies. While Luz,Amity,Gus and Willow were in charge of painting and testing out the equipment. As Eda was getting white karate gi uniforms for the class adding the same symbol and name Luz created for there karate tournament gi and creating the schedules. While Caleb and Darius took care of the paperwork for  the dojo.

Weeks turned into months as the martial arts house was now ready to open. "Alright let's head inside." Eda said as Darius, Caleb,Lilith, Amity Gus and Willow entered but Amity noticed Luz didn't enter as she saw her standing outside looking at the dojo. "You okay Luz?" Amity asked. "Yeah it's just crazy to see how much we've come from training in Eda's backyard to now having a dojo." Luz said. "Well we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you standing up for us at the beach against Hunter" Amity said as she wrapped her arms around Luz's neck giving her a hug.

"You know I remember at first I was expecting to not have any friends here but then I met Eda,Gus,Willow especially you. Your important to me, Amity." Luz said as she wrapped her arms around Amity's waist. "You're important to me too Luz." Amity said before capturing Luz's lips as she gave her a kiss before Luz pulled away. "Now let's go inside." Luz said grabbing Amity's hand as they made their way into their new dojo The Martial Arts House.
