Luz the Karate Kid

Chapter 10

      After that day the next day at training Luz and Amity confronted Willow about the girl they saw at the fair and Willow came clean and told them that was her new girlfriend Skara. They got together during the summer but she doesn't attend their school but lives nearby the beach. Luz and Amity congratulated her about giving love a second chance and soon Luz revealed that she and Amity were together causing Willow and Gus to tackle them into a group hug.

      That was a month and a half ago Luz,Amity,Gus and Willow were still being trained by Eda for the karate tournament. And today Eda was finally going to teach the four of them to punch after a month and a half of teaching them how to find balance and remember the basic defensive moves she taught them.

     As Luz,Amity,Willow and Gus finished their warmups Eda came with a punching dummy so they could practice their hits. "Alright so it's December 28th so the karate tournament is almost a month and half away. You guys now know your defense, you're gonna need some offense moves." Eda instructed. "Now this dummy is gonna help with the punches. I'm going to show you where you're allowed to punch, which is the chest, stomachs, and sides observe but I believe the tournaments gonna try to make it legal to hit in the face just not near the eyes." Eda said as she punched the dummy in the chest.

      "Alright now Luz come over here." Eda said as motioned Luz toward her. Luz followed and stood in front of the dummy. "Alright, stand straight, move one foot a little forward and the other back a little and tuck in your left arm toward your chest now use your other arm to extend and punch the dummy." Eda instructed Luz to do which she did, putting some force into the dummy. "Not bad kiddo now do it again but with you left and keep switching." Eda said. Luz kept hitting the chest and stomach of the dummy switching arms and slowly the hits were gaining more force.

       "Alright kiddo there. Who's next." Eda said and soon Amity,Gus and Willow took their turn hitting the dummy and practicing. Eda then proceeded to get wooden planks. "Okay now you guys are ready to practice some more better kicks." Eda said as she held the board. "Alright Goops you're up first." Eda said. Gus moved forward and got ready and he got in a stance, raised up one of his legs and kicked the board but it didn't break. "Again." Eda said as Gus did the kick again but it didn't break. "Yesh Kiddo you got some training to do." Eda said as Gus' expression fell . "But hey, the whole point of this is to keep practicing." Eda reassured Gus. Gus nodded and returned to the line Eda then called Amity,Willow and Luz in that order to kick the board. No one was able to break it the farthest was Luz who got a crack on it.

    "Hey don't worry kiddos you can do it. How about this, think of someone or something you hate. Now picture it on the board Now Boots you first." Eda said as Amity approached her and got ready to kick the board. Amity thought of the person she hated and raised one of her legs then kicked the board causing it to break.

    "Woah kiddo whoever you thought of it worked." Eda said as she grabbed another board. "Alright Goops your up, think of the person you hate." Eda said. Gus closed his eyes and opened them with a look of determination and he kicked the board, breaking it. Willow was next and she broke so did Luz.

    "Alright, that's a way to help motivate you guys but don't let the anger get to you. That's how you start fighting aggressively and that's bad." Eda said she then brought out a stand board to help them do high kicks. "Okay now your gonna practice doing high kicks. Observe" Eda said as she faced the stand and raised her leg high and kicked the board breaking it. "Now do that and we'll call it a day." Eda said as she went inside her house Luz,Gus,Amity and Willow nodded in agreement right before Luz was gonna start practing her high kicks. Amity approached her.

        "Hey Luz." Amity said. "Hey Ams what's up?" Luz asked her girlfriend. "I was wondering if you wanna go on another date considering the bet we made." Amity said. "Yeah that sounds fun, how about the movies I'll pick you up 5:00 at your house?" Luz questioned. "Yeah, sounds like a plan." Amity said. Just then Willow heard the conversation.

      "Are you guys going on a date?" Willow asked. "Yeah to the movies, why?" Luz asked. "Well I was wondering if Skara and I can join you guys on a double date." Willow said. "That's a great idea and we get to meet your girlfriend for the first time." Amity said. "Man you guys sure have fun on your dates." Gus said not wanting to be their third wheel. Just then Eda came out "Hey less chit chat more training to do those kicks." Eda said, causing Luz,Amity, Gus and Willow to go back to training.

       Time skip to the 4:30

       Luz who was now wearing a purple hoodie, ripped jeans and red shoes and beanie was in her car driving on her way to go pick up Amity and meet Willow and her girlfriend at the theaters. Just then Luz reached Amity's house to see Amity wearing a black top with a black tights and brown shoes talking to a pale man in the mid 40's with brown hair and golden eyes wearing a white dress shirt and black pants and sandals.

        Luz then got out the car greet them. "Hi Luz, this is my dad. Dad, this is Luz, my girlfriend." Amity said blushing red. Luz smiled and offered her hand. "Pleasure to meet you Mr.Blight." Luz said. "Please no need for Mr Blight call me Alador please." He said as he accepted Luz handshake. "Okay dad me and Luz will be heading to the movies see yah later." Amity said as grabbed Luz's hand. "Okay be safe Mittens." Alador said, causing Luz to question it while Amity blushed red.

       As they go in the car Luz had one question on her mind. "Pfft Mittens?" Luz asked as she drove them to the theaters. "Yeah it's just a nickname my dad and older siblings call me." Amity said. "We'll personally like the nickname." Luz said. "Thanks Luz." Amity said. Just then they arrived at the movie theater Luz and Amity got out of the car and walked hand in hand towards Willow who was wearing a green hoodie and khakis pants with doc martens. and her girlfriend wearing a flowering dress top and black tights with black boots.

       "Hey Willow." Luz said. "Hey guys I'd like you to meet my girlfriend Skara. Skara this is Luz and Amity, my friends and the people who I've been training with." Willow said. Skara stuck her hand which Luz and Amity accepted. "Nice to meet you guys. Willows told me so much about you guys." Skara said. "Likewise so ready for the movie?"Luz said. "Yeah we decided we'll watch the Super Mario Movie." Willow said. The four of them got their tickets and entered the theater and waited in the snack line.

       Just then Hunter and his friends all wearing their matching leather jackets and jeans with black shoes came out of one of the movie theater rooms and were walking to the exit. "Hey look Hunter, it's Luzera and her friend group and someone new." Daniel said about to approach them along with Hunter until Matthew grabbed both of them.

      "Hey, remember what sensei said about not interacting with each other till the tournament." Matthew grabbed their shoulders and pushed them towards the exit door which they flared at him before they all exited. Luz watched as Hunter still kept looking at them with a dark look, specifically at Skara who was holding hands with Willow. 'He knows.' Luz thought. Just then Amity ordered two large popcorn,four slushies and two hot Cheetos with cheese luz paid for their snacks. Luz and Willow each grabbed their snacks for them and their girlfriends as they headed toward their theater number.

        After the movie, Luz and Skara were walking out and talking about the movie with their girlfriends following behind "Dude, that movie was so worth it." Luz said. "I know right," Skara said, agreeing. "Sounds like you had fun." Amity said going over to hold Luz's hand to which Luz accepted. "So what next?" Willow asked as she wrapped an arm around Skara. "How about some boba?" Luz asked. " Yeah there's one down the street let's go." Luz said as she and Amity left with Skara and Willow following behind.
