A week after, I prepared my belongings to visit Asia's place. I gathered all the essential items I needed for the night and waited for her arrival to give me a ride. Approximately thirty minutes later, she phoned me to inform that she had arrived outside. I secured my residence and headed to her vehicle.

"Hey babes," she said excitedly.

"Hey boo."

"Okay wi aguh do a quick run to the supermarket to get some stuff. Neva get the time yesterday cause Liam was being a baby the entire."

I chuckled because I was aware that she wasn't overstating the facts. I had actually witnessed Liam holding on to her tightly before. It seemed like she was his place of comfort, which was endearing.

Soon we pulled into the back entrance of Liguanea Plaza and went into General Foods.

Lawd the vibe in yasso screams uptown... Wid dem price yah u couldn't ketch mi in here a shop. How one small bag pistachio in here costs the same as 3 pounds of chicken at a wholesale... crazyyy.

Walking down the aisles of a supermarket, Asia filled the cart with bags of chips, microwave popcorn, tubs of ice cream and boxes. She also grabbed bottles of soda, juice, and water to quench our thirst during the night.

But the snacking didn't stop there. We browsed the candy aisle, selecting our favorite sweets, chocolates, and gummies to munch on while watching movies. We made sure to grab some healthy snacks too, like fruit and veggie platters to balance out all the junk food.

As we shopped, she also picked up other essential items for the slumber party, such as face masks, nail polish, and hair ties for our impromptu spa night. We even found some fun games and puzzles to keep us entertained throughout the night.

Once we had everything we needed, we headed to the checkout to get cashed out.

Mi bomboclat

My eyes widened as the cashier finished scanning.

$17,238.56

Asia took out a card and gave it to the cashier, and it was successfully processed without any payment issues.

That's a month grocery money for me.

Once bagging was complete, a helpful worker took the bags and brought them to her car, ensuring that everything was secure and not in danger of falling out or getting damaged during the drive to her house.

While we were exiting the parking lot, I made the decision to inquire.

"Girl where yuh work? U cyan get me a job interview?"

I was 100% serious, a job would ease some pressure off my brother.

"Work? No girl. I'm going to say this and I don't mean to sound privileged but my parents are millionaires, my siblings and I are set for life. My brothers work but that's mostly by choice; one is working to get experience as he'll be taking over the company after dad retires," she explained while keeping her eyes on the road.
