"You have to be fucking joking Zaire."

You might think that I'm getting told off by my mom or girlfriend, but that's totally not the case.

"You made her your girlfriend? After I've been waiting for you to realize I'm the perfect girl for you. Why would you even consider dating a commonaz like her? She's not even in the same tax bracket as us."

I kinda zoned out when Melissa kept going on and on, and started thinking about my girl. Shewas at a study session on school campus and all our friends were busy, so I thought I'd hang out with Jailen and chill for a bit. We've been meaning to catch up anyways, so this was the perfect chance.

Big bloodclat mistake. I keep forgetting just how annoying and territorial his little sister can be.

Around 9 years ago, I first encountered her when I attended the same camp as her brother. Coincidentally, she was also present at the same camp even though it was for children ages 12 - 15. Back then, I thought she only had a childlike infatuation with me, considering she was only 9 or 10 at the time. However, I was wrong. As time passed, her possessiveness towards me has reached an alarming level. It has become so intense that her brother advised me to meet him outside their home or somewhere else instead of visiting their place. While it's not a perfect solution, it has helped alleviate the situation to some extent.

"Lisa you're behaving desperate, how much time mi ago tell yuh lef the man alone? Him nuh want yuh, your still a fucking child, Guh sit down one side and come out a big people argument man," I almost busted out laughing as her brother dismissed her.

"Shut up Jailen. I'm in upper sixth form, very much an adult."

As they engaged in a heated argument, I found myself gradually tuning them out and turning my attention to texting India. The back-and-forth exchange between the two parties seemed endless, and I felt disinterested and disconnected from the situation.
