Zaire had explicitly instructed everyone to remain silent about Kayla, driven by his desire to inflict a fate upon her that was far worse than what he had experienced in his failed relationship. For weeks, he had been tormented by self-blame and regret over his lack of trust in his girlfriend. Although he acknowledged that it was now too late to retract his words, he was determined to do everything in his power to compensate for the problems he had caused due to his arrogant attitude.
When Dimitri inquired about his plans for Kayla, Zaire responded with a chilling declaration: "I intend to make her suffer before ultimately ending her life."
Overwhelmed by a profound sense of emotional numbness, Zaire's sole focus was on seeking revenge. He yearned for everyone who played a role in the destruction of his relationship to crumble before him, pleading for mercy. He felt indebted to India, as he believed it was his duty to avenge the loss of their unborn child.
Despite discovering the truth, Zaire chose not to reach out to India. He recognized that he was still not in the right mental state to confront the complexities of their relationship. As a result, his singular objective remained fixated on exacting revenge.

As Zaire sat there, observing Melissa with a burning desire to wipe the smug grin off her face, it marked the first time they had come face to face since he had orchestrated her capture from her family's hiding place.
"I love the way you look at me," Melissa purred, her voice filled with a hint of mischief. "Like you want to tear me apart for being naughty."
"Hmm, lucky for you, I enjoy taming naughty girls," Zaire responded, his words dripping with a mixture of intrigue and dominance.
Melissa was taken aback by his unexpected reply. She had anticipated his anger and aggression towards her for her involvement in the events that led to the loss of their child and the downfall of their relationship. She knew Zaire was far from foolish and would eventually connect the dots.
"I thought you would be furious with me," she muttered, a tinge of anxiety now visible on her face.
"Mad at you?" Zaire smirked, his expression radiating amusement. "You actually did me a favor. Now I'm free from any responsibilities or worries. I have not a care in the world."
Melissa's surprise deepened as Zaire's words sank in. She had never expected him to view the situation in such a light.
"Really?" The astonishment in Melissa's voice was unmistakable.
"Hmm... And I must say, I admire your dedication to me," Zaire responded, a hint of genuine appreciation in his tone. "I've never had a woman show such unwavering devotion to my well-being before."
