I stepped out onto the deck, feeling the warmth of the sun against my skin. The air was filled with laughter and the delightful aroma of grilled kebabs. I looked around and saw Asia and Liam's beautiful backyard, transformed into a mini paradise with a sparkling pool at the center. Asia, Polly, Heidi, Tamia, Liam, and Mateo were already lounging on the deck chairs, their glasses filled with chilled drinks. Zaire had a headache this morning and decided to not come so I came alone.

I joined them, settling into a chair next to Heidi. I took a sip of my fruity cocktail and sighed in contentment. Alcohol is just what I needed, technically I'm not suppose to be drinking but I needed at least one drink to calm my nerves and hopefully to not raise suspicion in my friend group. I haven't started showing much, it just looks like natural bloating.

"Ah, this is exactly what I needed. A pool day with good company," I said, relishing the relaxed atmosphere.

Asia grinned mischievously, her sunglasses reflecting the vibrant colors of the pool.

"Absolutely! And it's the perfect time for some juicy gossip too. Have you heard about Dimitri and Kayla?" she teased, leaning in closer.

My curiosity piqued, I raised an eyebrow and leaned forward.

"No, what happened?" I urged, eager to hear what was going on. I've been avoiding Dimitri alot because he's very observant, I don't want him to catch that something is off with me, as for Kayla, she doesn't come around much anymore since the last time we hung out at the pool with her obnoxious friend.

Heidi adjusted her sun hat and chimed in, adding to the intrigue.

"Apparently, Kayla tried flirting with Dimitri. Sis asked him out on a date and he declined. Drama, drama!" she exclaimed, her eyes widening.

Liam chuckled, shaking his head knowingly.

"Kayla already knew Dimitri didn't like her like that suh she set up harself fi failure wid dah one deh. But hey, it's not our problem. We're here to relax and have a good time," he remarked, taking a sip of his drink.

"... Is that why she doesn't come around anymore?" I thought it was just the friend thing... Neva know shit did go down wid she and Dimitri.

"Probably... Kayla easy fi shame so I wouldn't be surprised," Asia shrugged.

Mateo, reclining in his chair, joined the conversation with a smirk.
