Finally, it was happening.

This vacation had been long overdue, and I believe all of us really needed this break. The past year has been incredibly challenging, and it's hard to put into words just how tough it has been. I had made a promise to myself that I would start the 2023-2024 school year with a new bitch and I meant it. It's unfortunate that it took people endangering my life and pushing me to my breaking point to realize that I deserve better.

We were currently relaxing in the Club Mobay lounge, waiting for our flight to be ready. The assistant informed us that we had about five more minutes, so I slowly started gathering my things. The trip was fully paid for by the guys, as a matter of fact Zaire threatened that if I spent my own money, he would 'punish' me. Although he said it in a playful tone I knew he was 100% serious. I had argued that we were no longer in a relationship so he doesn't have to pay for me but he shut all of that down. On this trip was me, Zaire, Dimitri, Natalie, Asia, Liam, Heidi, Tamia, Mateo, Polly and Polly's stepsister, Sonya. She was a cute and petite Asian girl who had the complete opposite aura of Polly who had multiple piercings and tattoos with her bright red hair locs.

Since it was a first class flight we boarded first and were able to get comfortable for the long ass flight.

The flight was absolutely terrible... Yuh know turbulence??? Mi bomboclat.

At one point, I genuinely believed we weren't going to make it to Greece. However, by some miracle and the grace of God, we arrived in one piece. It was a relief beyond words.

Among our group, Sonya was particularly affected by the turbulent journey. It turns out she has a fear of both planes and heights, which made the entire 12-hour flight a mental battle for her. I watched as Polly stayed by her side, doing everything she could to soothe her nerves. Meanwhile, Dimitri, Zaire, and Asia took charge of handling all the necessary arrangements at the airport, ensuring our smooth transition from the chaos of the flight to the start of our Greek adventure.

My train of thought was abruptly interrupted when I felt a pair of hands gently resting on my shoulder.

"Yuh good?" Mateo asked, his concerned voice pulling me out of my thoughts. I looked up, and there he was, already looking down at me, his eyes filled with genuine care.

"Yeah man, just needed a moment to recuperate," I replied with a grateful smile. It felt comforting to have someone check in on me, acknowledging that we all needed some time to gather ourselves after the ordeal we had just endured.

"Hmmm, understandable," Mateo chuckled, sharing a knowing look. "The flight was shitty as hell, wasn't it?" His laughter carried a mix of relief and shared frustration, as if his words mirrored the sentiments we all felt
