"What are you up to?" I startled and hastily closed my phone as Zaire approached and sat next to me on the bed.

He gave me a suspicious glance before asking, "What are your thoughts on going to the Philippines or Thailand?" He was referring to his upcoming birthday trip, which was scheduled for two months later. Asia had informed me that it had become an annual tradition for him since he turned 18, where he organizes international trips and invites everyone to join if they're interested. I had been eagerly anticipating it for a while now, which further emphasized why I didn't want to be pregnant at this moment.
"Before we get into all that, did you find out where she is?" I asked, still freaking out about that crazy psycho Melissa who's out there somewhere, plotting my doom. She's a total lunatic with some serious resources at her disposal, and I'm not taking any chances with her.
