Chapter 19.

Jad's POV

Habang pauwi kami, sakay ko siya sa sasakyan ko, hindi ko matiis na makita siyang umiiyak..

"Joyce, tahan na." I said.

"Pasensya kana Jad." Sagot lang niya sa akin..

Then I decided to park the car somewhere. Nagulat si Joyce sa ginawa ko..

Pero bago pa siya magsalita inunahan ko na siya..

"Mahal mo pa rin siya?" I asked her.

Tapos yung curiosity ng mukha niya turned into a broken hearted face..

"It seems like it doesnt need to ask that question anymore kasi mahal mo pa rin nga siya." Sabi ko pa.

"I tried to move on pero hindi ko kaya, I tried to hate him but I can't Jad. Kahit ganito na yung nangyari, mahal ko pa rin siya eh." Joyce answered me while tears are falling from her eyes.

Lumapit ako ng kaunti sa kanya and pinunasan ko yung mga yun..

"It's been a decade since nung huli tayong magkita, and siguro sapat na yun para makalimutan mo yung pinangako ko sayo noon." Sabi ko pa sa kanya..

Tapos biglang napatitig sa akin si Joyce..

"Joyce, I came back here in the Philippines because of my promise, a promise that we will be together and forever. Pero nung pagdating ko, it seems like everything has changed. Hindi na ikaw yung Joyce na nakilala ko, siguro dahil nag-mature na tayo pareho pero siguro dahil mayroon ka ng bagong mga kaibigan and a love one." Sabi ko sa kanya..

"But I thought it was just.."

Hindi ko na siya pinatapos sa sasabihin niya..

"I understand. You don't need to explain everything to me, I understand. Joyce, I accepted this invitation because I thought isa na naman toh sa mga bagay na hindi ko makakalimutan kapag umalis na ako dito sa Philippines. But I was wrong, your friends specially Mathew can't accept me as a new friend." Sabi ko pa..

"I'm sorry Jad. I'm sorry Jad." Paulit-ulit niyang sabi sa akin..

Then pinunasan ko ulit yung mga luhang pumapatak sa mga mata niya..

"Joyce, you don't need to say sorry. Wala kang ginawang masama. All I want you to do is to reconcile with Mathew, and fix everything between the two of you. Gusto ko masaya ka before I go back to Australia tomorrow." Sabi ko..

And that made Joyce surprised.

"Babalik ka na sa Australia?" Tanong niya pa.

And I answered her yes.

"Ihahatid kita sa kanya and promise me, you'll fix everything." Sabi ko pa.

Tapos um-oo siya..

I started the engine para bumalik sa resort...

Sakto namang pagbalik namin, nakasalubong namin si Nicole and Ren..

Then Joyce get off from the car..

And sinundan ko siya, lumapit siya kina Ren..

"Saan kayo pupunta?" Joyce asked them.

"Uuwi na, bakit bumalik pa kayo?" Tanong ni Ren sa amin..
