Daddy was supposed to be getting her license today, hopefully she passes her drivers test.
She's been practicing driving with her mom all week, so I barely got to see her unless she'd call me at night or when she wasn't busy. Luckily, I was talking to her right now as she got ready.
"You happy for me baby?" She asked me, putting on her golden necklace.
I nodded. "I get to see you more daddy?"
"Of course." She grined. "You gon be the first person I pick up."
I smiled, clapping my hands. "I see you today!"
"Today? I don't know baby."
My whole mood changed and I dropped my arms. She sighed as soon as she saw the pout coming up on my face.
"Don't start Onika."
I whined, picking my phone up so I'd be able to hang up on her. She saw my finger and quickly yelled, "Don't you hang up thi-" I hung up on her.
I was sad, only because we were on break and I haven't seen her in like 4 days, I just wanted to be with my daddy.
I crossed my arms, taking a deep breath but that didn't help the tears.
Leaving my room, I went to go find my mom. She was in her bed room, eating mangos and watching her story.
She saw my face and frowned, "What's wrong baby? Come here." She motioned for me to come and I climbed onto her bed as she pulled me into her by my shoulder.
She kissed my forehead, watching me intently. That just made me cry more. "Aw, what happened?"
I shook my head, wiping my tears aggressively. I was between my head space and it's been like that for days. I don't think Beyoncé fully understands my condition.
I need her around more than she thinks.
"Tell me what's wrong Onika."
"Noo mommy."
She nodded, knowing she wasn't going to get anything out of me right now. "What you want to watch? Tinkerbell?"
I nodded, rubbing my nose. "The pirate fairy."
She laughed lowly, "That's my favorite one tink, how'd you know?"
I smiled small and shook my head, "No mommy that's my favorite!"
"I thought the one with the sisters were your favorite."
"They're all my favorite." I mumbled, trying to put my thumb in my mouth but momma quickly grabbed my hand.
I whined, pulling away from her grip but she kept it tight. "Mommyyy! Let go!"
