"Maniko-kun! Maniko-kun! Wake up! Those idiots left without us!" Naruto repeatedly shook the slumbered boy until he jolted awake, hair messy.
"Eh?! They what?!" Maniko gasped as he rushed out of his sleep wear, and into his ninja wear before pausing quickly. "Wait- I need to take a showe-"
"There's no time!" Naruto impatiently grabbed the males arm, dragging him out the house. "They're probably having the best and coolest fight of their lives right now, while we're here doing nothing!"
"Dude! There's always time for hygiene!" Maniko protested, but the blondes grip was surprisingly strong, as he allowed himself to be pulled away.
The pair jumped tree to tree for a while, planning their attacks before the fight. "And then! I'll use my shadow clones, and we'll get him once and for-" Maniko clasped a hand around Naruto's mouth.
The two Genin glanced at the scene. Sasuke was cornered by mirrors as needled cuts coated his body, Kakashi's options were blocked by Zabuza, and Sakura was defending the bridge builder. But overall, team seven were in trouble.
"Look, Naruto.. It's that medical nin from before. Which means, he must be on Zabuza's side.." Maniko whispered.
"Now. We need to think of a plan. We can't just rush in, otherwise we won't be able to catch them by surprise.. We need a distraction. Right, Naruto?" Maniko's smile slowly faded when he receive no response.
"...Naruto?" Maniko paused after slowly looking to his right, only to find out that Naruto wasn't by his side anymore. "..." (Maniko's face rn: ಠ_ಠ)
"Ha! Now that I'm here, everything will be alright! You know those stories, where hero's usually show up at the last minute, and then kick butt?! Well that's what I'm gonna do! Right now! Believe it!" Naruto rambled on, now directly in front of the medical nin. Maniko just watched from a far, still hidden.
Kakashi's eye visibly twitched as Sasuke scoffed. 'What an idiot! If he had stayed hidden, then his approach would have been much more effective!' Kakashi thought.
'Yeah, no kidding..' Maniko thought, deadpanning.
Kakashi's eyes widened. 'Maniko.. You're here?! Since when could you communicate with people, through their minds?'
'WOAH?! What the heck?! ...Since.. Now, I guess?! This is awesome!' Maniko thought.
'Maniko, we could use this to our advantage.. IF we devise a good enough plan.' Kakashi made sure to prevent himself from smiling accidentally, and giving everything away.
M: 'Right! Fill me in, Sensei!'
K: 'Well, I can't save Sasuke or else Tazuna will be in danger, nor can Naruto or Sakura because of Haku.. So, it'll have to be up to you.'
