"This place really freaks me out.." Maniko mumbled. He could've sworn he caught a glimpse of a mutant sized snake in there.
'What, are they trying to kill us..?'
"It should. They call it 'The Forest of Death.' Soon enough, you're gonna find out why." Anko teased.
"ThEy CaLL iT tHe fOrEsT oF dEaTh! AnD sOoN eNoUgH yOuR gOnNa FiNd OuT wHy!" Naruto mocked, doing a weird little dance.
"Do your worst! You're not gonna scare me away!" He added.
"Oh! Looks like we got ourselves a tough guy.." Anko grinned.
Almost immediately, a kunai skimmed past Naruto's face leaving a bloody cut on his cheek. One blink, and anyone would've missed how Anko appeared right behind the blond.
"Tough guys like you, usually leave their blood all over this forest." She stated, tauntingly rubbing the blood from his cheek.
Maniko shivered at the sight. He knew one thing for sure..
These Jonin weren't no joke..
Suddenly, Anko pulled out yet another kunai, already feeling an uneasy presence behind her.
"I was just returning your knife.." A tall figure pointed out. Maniko couldn't tell if the person was a male or a female, but nevertheless, they still looked creepy as hell..
They had a freakishly long tongue that double-wrapped around Anko's weapon, as well as a straw hat that rested on top of his head.
"Why, thank you grass ninja." Anko gave the ninja the fakest smile known to man.
"But, I really wouldn't recommend you standing this close behind me? Unless you wish to reach a premature end." She threatened, snatching the kunai out of their tongue.
"My apologies. With the sight of blood, I'm afraid I just became a little bit.. excited." They explained, backing away.
'I thought this forest was creepy, but these guys are even creepier..' Sakura thought.
"Seems like everyone is quick tempered today." Anko smirked, before pulling out a stash of papers.
"Now, before we begin.. I'll need these consent forms filled out."
Maniko, now definitely freaked out, spoke up. "Wha-?! Why would we need to do that..?"
"Well, some of you might not come back from this test. And if not, it would be my problem." She explained, chuckling darkly.
Maniko gulped, being handed a form first. He looked thoroughly through the paper, as Anko handed out the rest while explaining the rules.
It seemed simple in words. Reach the large tower in the middle of the forest within five days. With both a heaven and an earth scroll.
