In sync, everyone turned to look at the tealette. All of the glances made him want to dissipate into thin air. He then stole a glance at his opponent. Fortunately for him, the boy didn't appear to be deadly, nor infatuated with the need to kill. He seemed to be one of the only somewhat sane competitors. He had platinum blond hair, light grey eyes and carried a soft smile on his face. This did ease the Maniko slightly, but he knew better than to judge a ninja purely based on appearance.
As if on cue, the clouds turned a dark grey. If the atmospheric change wasn't a clue enough for Maniko to not fight, he didn't know what was..
Once Maniko reached the centre of the arena, both him and Kazuki were stood facing each other. The blond still wore that same smile on his face, not seeming to be nervous at all. This slightly put Maniko on edge.
His teammates are Kazuki Yamazaki, and Renjiro Kiroi. He's also from a different land.. So, his information is minimal. Maniko thought back to what Kabuto had told him. So, not only was he going into the fight blindly, but he was also going against the teammate of a ninja that, for whatever reason, had a problem with him.
'That's my opponent..?' Kazuki thought, unbeknownst to the privacy of his mind being invaded. 'I remember him.. He's kinda..'
"—Kinda what?" Maniko interrupted, tilting his head. "I swear, if it's another comment about my hair.." He groaned, failing to notice the confusion on his opponents face.
"W—Wait, I said that out loud?!" Kazuki's eyes widened.
Maniko raised an eyebrow. Did Kazuki not know the boy could read minds..?
...A Tasuya? That's rare.. You'd like to think for a Tasuya, you'd be able to see into the future and, y'know? Not bump into me? He recalled his teammates words.
It was either that they only thought he could see the future, or they had no idea of his other capabilities. 'Hm..' Maniko thought. 'I could use this to my advantage..'
"...Yep! You definitely said that out loud!" Maniko smiled, oh so innocently.
