Once the squad's little encounter with Lee was over, they made their way to the real third floor, though before they could pass, a familiar grey haired Sensei stood before them.
"Kakashi Sensei..?!" Maniko and Naruto yelled in sync.
"Hey. I'm glad you came, Sakura. For your sake, and the others." Kakashi spoke. "Now, you can all formally register for the exam."
"Why? What do you mean?" Sakura quizzed.
"You see.. Only groups of three or four are allowed to apply, or take the exam. That's the way it's always been." The copy ninja explained.
"But.. I thought it was our decision on whether we get to take the exams or not." Maniko stated.
"I was lying about that." Kakashi admitted. "But, if I had told the truth, Sasuke and Naruto would have probably forced Sakura to take it." He explained.
"Though, even if you didn't have the will to apply, if Sasuke or Maniko were to ask you, you'd take the exams on their behalf." He added, looking at Sakura.
"So.. What would have happened if Sakura chose not to come?" Maniko asked.
"I would have stopped the exam here. I wouldn't have let you go beyond this point." The copy ninja explained.
"But.. You guys came on your own free will. And, I'm glad you did. You're a team I'm proud of." Kakashi smiled from underneath his mask.
"Now, go on!" He encouraged, moving away from the double doors, to let his team through.
He smiled as he watched the backs of his students get further away, confidently walking through the doors.
As soon as the squad entered the room, all eyes were immediately drawn to them. The Genin looked intimidating to say the least.. 'The Genin... don't even look like Genin...' Maniko deadpanned.
Such a confidence drop this was, seeing all the Genin that looked like they could chew you like gum, and spit you out onto the floor..
'Now I see why Kakashi Sensei tried to hype us up..' Maniko thought.
He then turned to Sakura, who looked like she had just seen a ghost. 'There's so many of them.. They all look immensely strong..' The pinkette thought, as she gulped in fear.
'Don't worry, Sakura. If they're strong, we'll just have to show them that we're stronger.' Maniko encouraged, which seemed to make Sakura smile slightly. Though, it was only a matter of time until her smile dropped.
"Sasuke, you're late!" A voice yelped, as a girl with platinum blonde hair hugged Sasuke from behind.
Sasuke didn't seem too happy to reunite with the girl.
