The bandaged male lunged at the duo instantly, causing Lee to counter his attack as he punched his fist deep into the ground. A large bark of tree was lifted from the floor as Lee used it to shield both himself and Maniko from the sound ninja's blow.
"I am positive that there is some kind of trick to your attack. Therefore, I will not waste my time trying to dodge it." Lee stated.
'Maniko. Their plan is to separate us both from your team who cannot defend themselves at this current moment. It'll give them an opening to Sasuke, if we stay together. You protect your team from the other one. I'll deal this one.' The black haired boy thought, earning a subtle nod from the tealette.
His head turned to Zaku who started to approach Sakura, both tired and unable to defend herself. Maniko managed to throw several kunai in front Zaku's feet, making him halt in his tracks.
'Really..? He's trying to fight me all by himself?' The brunette thought, as his confused face was overtaken by a menacing grin. 'Doesn't matter. The brat had it coming when he spoke to me like that.. This shouldn't take any longer than a minute.'
Zaku brushed off his thoughts, unaware to the fact that Maniko was listening in on them all. But regardless, the teal haired boy stood still, waiting on the other male's next advance.
'Fine.. I'll just have to punch that stupid look off his face!' Zaku thought, running up to the boy as he swung his fist. Maniko easily dodged the punch, not an ounce of sweat breaking from his face.
Again and again, Zaku's fists swung forward in hopes of making contact with the other boy, but to no avail. "You're really predictable." Maniko mentioned, the tone of his voice laced with softness as he repeatedly dodged all of Zaku's attacks.
'T-This, guy.. H-How does he know when i'm going to... Whatever, I'll use my kunai instead.' The black haired boy thought, reaching his hand in his pouch. Just as he was about to pull out the sharp weapon, another kunai clashed onto it, flinging the object away from his hand and imbedding itself into the floor.
"Wow, you really are that predictable.." Maniko mumbled, his eyes piercing directly into Zaku's widened pair.
'What's with this guy..? It's like.. He knows what I'm gonna do, before I even do it!' The taller boy thought, as a bead of sweat traveled down the side of his face.
"Scary, right?" Maniko asked, an unfamiliar glint in his eyes, making Zaku flinch.
"It's common human instincts to think about your next moves in the midst of battle. No. It's a requirement, when fighting against your opponents." The teal haired boy spoke, all while continuously dodging Zaku's attacks.
