Each passing team stood side by side in what seemed to be a large fighting arena. From the looks of it, Maniko could tell that the forest of death had slimmed down the competition generously. But, unfortunately not generous enough.. Only a total of seven more teams would have been able to move through to the following exam.
Opposite the Genin, stood not only the Hokage himself but also each team leader in a perfect line, directly behind him. He caught a glimpse at Kakashi who seemed to already have his eyes on him. The grey haired man's expressions were his behind his mask, but unkown to Maniko, the Sensei was in fact worried about the state of his student.
"I see your team didn't do too bad, Kakashi.. I guess you got real lucky." Guy started, side eyeing Kakashi to see how he would react to such words. And, to no surprise, the grey haired ninja seemed to remain stoic. "Of course, with my team still around.. Your team is doomed to failure. After all, what matters on the next test is ability, and we've got you far too outclassed." Guy teased, a smirk forming on his face as he imagined just how cool he just sounded.
"..."
"...Did you say something?" Kakashi spoke up, making Guy comically cry from embarrassment.

Maniko couldn't help but wonder how on earth he had managed to successfully make it this far. He snuck a few glances not only at his own team, but also a few of the opposing teams. And, although they seemed to be in no better shape than he was, the tealette still felt as if he were the most impacted Genin standing at the moment.
He felt like the odd one out..
His eyes eventually wandered to Gaara who, much to Maniko's surprise, was already looking his way.
The two didn't utter a single word to each other, however not much words were needed to be exchanged. Gaara had not a single scratch on him. He didn't seem to be worn out, nor tired, and didn't show even an ounce of harm inflicted to his body. In contrast, Maniko showed all three of those things.
