Maniko could only flinch at the two names that appeared on the screen next.'Neji Hyūga and Hinata Hyūga'
Neji sat comfortably in second place for opponents that Maniko would rather not go up against, Gaara being in first place.
He sympathised with the concerned look Hinata wore. The more Maniko thought about it, the more he realised that the two were polar opposites. Hinata was sweet, softly spoken and kindhearted. Where as, Neji.. made himself out to be none of the above.
The both of them going up against each other would just be a disaster waiting to happen.
"I have a bad feeling about this.." Maniko muttered under his breath, earning a glance from Kakashi.
"They're both descendants from the Hyūga clan. One of the most ancient and honourable families of the Hidden Leaf Village." The grey haired male explained.
"Wait.. So, that means they're related right?" Sakura asked.
"Well, yes.. But, in the way that a branch of a great tree is related to its trunk." Kakashi added. "Technically, they're more like cousins."
"The trunk of a tree..?" Naruto repeated, confused.
"Yes!" Lee agreed, popping his head out from right behind Maniko, making him shriek. Guy stood next Lee, though appeared to be more focused on his student who was in the arena. "Hinata belongs to the family's main household, directly descended from the head of the clan. Where as, Neji's family is just a side branch to the clan." Lee declared.
"But, still.. They're family and now they have to fight each other!" Sakura argued. "I feel for them, it must be hard.."
"Yes, but.." Guy trailed off into thought.
"But what..?" Maniko asked.
"It may not be as hard as it seems. I have heard that for many generations now, there has been some bad blood between the two families." Lee admitted.
